    My Interpretation:I think that this is a song that he heard at a carnival when he was a child. Because the song Jimmy has to do with his childhood, and it is basically the same as this song. So he remembered this from his childhood, and made Jimmy out of it, and this Intermission song is just and intro to Jimmy.
