It's pretty obvious what this song means. When I listen to it, I get extremely stoked and want to just find the people who give me problems (bush, my science teacher, etc.) and punch them in face. I know, I have some major issues to work out, but i don't care. Fuck you all :P

Isn't amazing that these songs of rebellion are written by men in their 20's-40's? Curt cobain would be my age (42) and the members of Green Day are the same vintage!

Two words sum up this somg: Mosh Pit. Not the meaning, but what happens when you see them in concert. From where I was on the floor (about 10 rows of people back from the stage), there was one mosh pit behind me, three more behind it, and about three on the other side of the catwalk in the middle of the floor. If I was sitting back on the stands, I'm sure there would me more. I saw Limp Bizkit in concert; I was in the stands at the very far back end of the stadium, and the max number of pits I saw was two. TWO! 7+ mosh pits is just incredible for me to see (this is coming from a 4 time concert-goer, so yeah).

ive heard this is a song against the "moral majority"(the bastards that censor national tv and writing "Parental Advisory: Explicit Content" on CDs)
so then green day have starded a group thatīs called "unmoral Minority" that fights against the Moral Majority

I had only ever heard this song one time before last night and that was live at a concert in Sac Town Cali last September. It was great. But last night, I was going through my MP3 player and picked out this song 'cuz I liked the music at the beginning and then realized I had it. I was so happy because I really like it and never knew it was on Warning 'cuz I don't like most of Warning so I never properly listened. Anyway, this song is the total anthem and theme song for all rebels. I hang out with a group of people at school who is despised and thought to be psycho, but we're all just doin' our own thing which is something everybody at Chico High needs to try. Tree People are real people, we don't talk shit about you, we're honest friends and all about individuality and do what we feel at the moment. None of us care what the rest of society does, thinks or says. We'll flip you off and tell you to have a nice day. Sort of reminds me of Gandi. We'll protest you peacefully without a fight no matter what you do to us, but we're going to do it our way and that's how it's gonna be. I dedicate this to everybody at the tree. Minority rocks!

This is the anthem for the rest of my life! Everyday when I'm on the bus going to school, I have to listen to it. It helps me to retain who I truly am, and show all those fags who conform that I may be different, but at least I'm not the same.
Green Day is the most inspirational band I have ever listened to. The aren't afraid to speak their minds and offend a few people doing it. My children will grow up listening to songs like Minority, American Idiot, and Warning. Rock On!

Im sick of Green Day fan posers. You ask them whats their fav Green Day song and they say American Idiot or Boulevard Of Broken Dreams. They're good songs, but thats all these fakes know.

You ask them 'Do you like Minority or Warning?' and theyre like, your stupid, theyre not Green Day songs.

This is my favorite GreenDay song EVER. I'm an atheist and to me it can easily be interpereted as an atheist anthem.The religious people who claim to be so moral are the majority of America, and I'm in the minority of non-religious people. I'm out of the crowd, stepping to my own beat. And the verse "I pledge allegiance to the underworld, one nation under DOG" really says a lot. And "like a sheep runs from the herd"- I was a Christian, and christians consider themselves God's sheep and he's their shehperd, so I was like a sheep running away from the heard.

As you can see, this was a very personaly interpertation of the song- only what it means to me- I really have no idea what they're actually trying to say. That's in the artists' minds. Kind of like only Da Vinci knows why Mona Lisa is smiling.

So like I said b4, i never did n e thing 4 myself. It was always whatever everyone else did. Now I dress totally dif't (much like Billie Joe, as a matter of fact), act dif't, and don't care. And like everyone else here, I hate it when ppl say something like American Idiot, or BOBD? which 1is ur fave GD song? and I say Minority, Android, westbound sign, maria, 409 in ur coffee maker, etc, and theyre like, o thats not REAL GD. I say, WHATEVER, FUCKERS! I own all Green Day cds from 1,039/Smoothed Out Slappy Hour to Bullet in a Bible, and I have like 10 posters of em. Minority=kickass.

I agree 100% with u that Billie Joe Armstrong, Michael Ryan Pritchard, and Frank Edwin Wright III kick ass. Everyone else knows who I'm talkin' about I hope. And it's true it is Good Riddance (Time of Your Life), but I will say its way fucking quicker to just wrtte part of it. Like BOBD. or MTFBWY (may the Force be with you) for all u Star Wars fans, Like Mike, when he said "all my religious beliefs are based on Star Wars. Did N E 1 here know that?
