Lyrics for Sweating Bullets as interpreted by Boonechic_21

Sweating Bullets Lyrics
Hello me...Meet the real me.
And my misfits way of life.
A dark black past is my
Most valued possession.
Hindsight is always 20-20,
But looking back it's still a bit fuzzy.
Speak of mutually assured destruction?
Nice story...Tell it to Reader's Digest!!!
Feeling paranoid
True enemy or false friend?
Anxiety's attacking me, and
My air is getting thin.
I'm in trouble for the things
I haven't got to yet.
I'm chomping at the bit, and my
Palms are getting wet, sweating bullets.

Hello me...It's me again.
You can subdue, but never tame me.
It gives me a migraine headache
Thinking down to your level.
Yea, just keep on thinking it's my fault
And stay an inch or two outta kicking distance.
Mankind has got to know
His limitations.

Feeling claustrophobic,
Like the walls are closing in.
Blood stains on my hands and
I don't know where I've been.
I'm in trouble for the things
I haven't got to yet.
I'm sharpening the axe and my
Palms are getting wet, sweating bullets.

Well, me...it's nice talking to myself,
A credit to dementia.
Some day you too will know my pain,
And smile its blacktooth grin.
If the war inside my head
Won't take a day off I'll be dead.
My icy fingers claw your back,
Here I come again.

Feeling paranoid
True enemy or false friend?
Anxiety's attacking me
And my air is getting thin
Feeling claustrophobic,
Like the walls are closing in.
Blood stains on my hands and
I don't know where I've been
Once you committed me
Now you've acquitted me
Claiming validity
For your stupidity
I'm chomping at the bit
I'm sharpening the axe
Here I come again, whoa!
Sweating bullets

Obviously, its about a very paranoid/schizophrenic person. This song is great. I love it.

I thought this was about a bad relationship. Not being able to cope, perhaps in a marraige, then finally after feeling trapped murdering your partner. Very cool song :-)

It also has things that could be references to nuclear war... mutually assured destruction, mankind has got to know his limitations, the general theme of being paranoid and being ready to kill someone out of fear, etc.

I think this song is about Dave. His public persona versus his private one. the rock star image versus Dave Mustaine the man. The drug addict versus the musical genius. Very clever-I love it :O)

I dont understand it..... Mustaine has one of the most irritaing voices to ever belt out a note.... and on this song he kind of I dont know it sounds like he barfs up the lyrics..... All i know is that i need at least a half-decent vocalist to appreciate a band and with Mustaine it is sad to say i hold Megadeth in very low regard....

but hey whatever floats your boat...

I LOVE THIS SONG!!! I have only just started to listen to megadeth and stuff like that so i have some MAJOR catching up to do. Anyway, back to this song, I have only heard the Capitol Punishment album and this song just kinda grabbed me! Not entirely sure what it is about, there are a few things it could be, as you have all pointed out.

All I know is that i love this song ALOT!

The song has to do with drugs and how he has to handle the addiction. And also about how the media portrays him and other in his situation.

I have an idea! lets sing like an idiot.....write some stupid ass shitty lyrics, and then rip off the riff from Dazed and confused.... and then I'll title it Sweating bullets, because I am a dumb ass and my name is Dave Mustaine...

Metal_Up_Ya_Ass_Jay: hey dude, have you ever heard Dazed and Confused by Led Zeppelin?

If you did you would instantly lose all respect for Megadeth....

Honestly how in the hell can you teolerate his voice?

I am not a metal fan, but even I know there is better metal out there....

Metallica, Iron Maiden, even Motley crue and other shitty 80's hair metal bands are ebtter than this ......

Mustaine's voice is so irritating.... it makes me think of an angry smurf...

'sweating bullets' means like hes sweating from paranoia, and because of his paranoia iis harming, like bullets do. this song works for wars like the cold war casue each country is so paranoid of losing that is just keeps shooting down others to keep itself up

1st of all N0 C0DE 79 you can suck my left testical
2nd ive loved Led Zeppelin since i was 5 and i love megadeth and theirs really no reason to call down a great band
3rd of all metallica can suck my right testical and then you and metallica could suck on my middle testical if i had one.
and lastly if you had a true appreciation you wouldnt call 80's hair bands down cause they have influenced alot of todays bands
So in conclusion megadeth is good and you can suck on my left testical.
Iron madien/motley crue are good though

Dude, Led Zeppelin is absolutely amazing, I was refering to the riff for this song which is an obvious rip off of Dazed and Confused....
To be honest, I am not a big metallica fan, a few of their songs I love, but i'm not a fan per-say...

I know Iron Maidon is amazing, and even though I don't like Motley Crue, they are very talented....

... and to respond to "80's hair metal influencing alot of bands out today"....

Alot of bands out today suck... EMO? there really are no metal bands out right now... good ones any ways..... Korn And mudvayne both suck ass.... and slipknot is a waste of talent....

Nu-metal? three cheers for LIMP BIZKIT..... not.... I don't know who you were referring to....

the only good band I can imagine Megadeth having an influence on is Alice in Chains.... Who was influenced by Van Halen more than anything.... And AIC Rocks Megadeth...

And no, I will not suck your middle nut...

The riff isnt a rip off of dazed an confused if you should be mad at anyone for rip offs it should be eminem who almost completly redubbed "dream on" by Led Zeppelin.I will agree with you about theyre are no good bands today minus a few. system of a down, shinedown,Avenged sevenfold, corrosion of conformity,Chevelle (though they are kinda moody and belong to a christain rock label) and Slipknot is a good band even though it seems like everyone hates them they have a huge following in north america (also in europe and japan which never made sence to me).Korn has had some alright songs im not big on them though. Also i take back the nut thing cause you have an mediocre taste in music.

AHHHH NOooo Corrosive30......no man, I was on your side of your guy's arguement but then you said that "dream on" was by Zeppelin.......for shame.....it's Aerosmith dude. For you NO CODE 79, you said in a comment that Metallica was a hair metal band.....now I hope I just mis-read that cause if you meant to say that, then your a complete idiot. As for Dave's voice, well I don't care for it too much but I still don't mind it and his guitar work sounds awsome. Now for dazed and confused, if any of you people were a guitar play you'd know that dazed and confused has it's main rhythm line from a bass and when the guitar comes in, it doesn't even really sound like one. The guitar in sweating bullets is much heavier, played on different strings and it only happens for the chorus. That should clear things up......and if it doesn't they you guys are truely lost.

No I definitly mis wrote it, I shouldn't have written other, it would have been clearer....

Yes I know Metallica isnt hairmetal lol.... Hair metal is dead and Metallica is still around, and so is Maidon and such....

To me, the only good thing about metal mostly is the solo, some of the best soloists are metal guitarists or were heavily influenced by metal guitarists...

and yes you are right AX7 and shinedown kick ass

well anyways, at least we can agree that Dave's voice sucks...

Well i'm glad both of you agree with me instead of getting all mad like other people...and yes I don't exactly like Dave's voice and there's obviously much better singers out there but it still doesn't both me enough to stop me from listening to Megadeth. Megadeth is still a pretty kick-ass band.
