I love this song. I love it when it stops being just a guitar, and the drums and bass come in. Very well done live, too. Coldplay is amazing.

I'm in the process of trying to get over this goddess (I'm getting nowhere, of course) and this song describes much of what I feel for her. The title especially caught my attention. Beautiful song.

This is a really good song and all, but where he says "I came here with a load and it feels so much lighter now that I met you," it sounds like he just took a giant shit. I always change the word to something other than load because the thought of someone singing this song sitting on the toilet is disturbing to me. Wow, I feel much lighter now.

Wow dude thats really disgusting..... i think this song to him at least means something about Paltrow because shit shes beautiful and we all know that.. and it seems like hes totally in love with her... great for him.. I adore this song. Oddly enough, I heard somewhere that Chris, the lead singer, is/was dating Gwyeth Paltrow and she has green eyes. Kind of makes sense ("spotlight shines on you"). *shrug*

Either way, this song is just beautiful, expressing the feelings a guy feels for his green-eyed love.

So, I don't know if this song is about Gwen or his cat...but, at the concert in Red Rocks 2 nights ago he was playing a song called "Moses" that he said was about Gwen and it was a really sweet song...Coldplay rocks my freaking world!!! Best band ever!

man, coldplay has some of the simplest songs around, but holy crap they are so awesome. i mean every word or note of music you hear just takes you to another place. what a song... simply brilliant just like all their others.
