Goin' home, late last night
Suddenly I got a fright
Yeah I looked through a window and surprised what I saw
A fairy with boots and dancin' with a dwarf,
All right now!

Yeah, fairies wear boots and you gotta believe me
Yeah I saw it, I saw it, I tell you no lies
Yeah Fairies wear boots and you gotta believe me
I saw it, I saw it with my own two eyes,
Oh all right now!

Yeah, fairies wear boots and you gotta believe me
Yeah I saw it, I saw it, I tell you no lies
Yeah Fairies wear boots and you gotta believe me
I saw it, I saw it with my own two eyes,
All right now!

So I went to the doctor
See what he could give me
He said Son, son, you've gone too far.
'Cause smokin' and trippin' is all that you do.

Song Meaning:I actually read the book "I Am Ozzy" and in it he says still has no idea what that song is about. He did say he wrote it during a night of doing hard drugs and drinking.

    General Comment:^ yeah lol.

I could have sworn it was someone beating them up because they wore boots and called them fairies? idk it was in the 70's, maybe that was normal.

maybe he wasn't tripping that night, so he believed it was real and tried to convince his doctor but he's all nahhh you're just tripping again.

General Comment:Amazing song, with some great riffs.

I love how the person in the song has gone to see the doctor claiming he has seen fairies wearing boots... he doesn't make out the issue that he's seen fairies anyway...it's just the boots part that seems strange to him :)

General Comment:Don't you hate it when you go in for your check-up and the doctor just says, "Son, son, you've gone too far, 'cause smokin' and trippin' is all that you do--yeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeaaaaaahh"?

General Comment:"despite rumors, Geezer Butler did not write this song after being assaulted by a gang of skinheads. In the liner notes to the Black Box collection, it was confirmed that the song's origin comes from Ozzy Osbourne getting high and hallucinating that he was seeing fairies wearing boots."

That is if wikipedia is to be believed

General Comment:when i first listened to this song i thought it was about an acid trip. but now hearing the story of geezer getting beat up by skin heads, its definitely about that.

black sabbath called the skin heads "fairies" because they were pansees.

    the line
"So I went to the doctor
See what he could give me
He said "Son, son, you've gone too far.
'Cause smokin' and trippin' is all that you do."

explains when geezer went to the doctor to see if he could subscibe him meds and the doctor was telling him he shouldn't do drugs anymore.
