Lyrics for War Pigs as interpreted by Boonechic_21

War Pigs Lyrics
Generals gathered in their masses
Just like witches at black masses
Evil minds that plot destruction
Sorcerers of death's construction

In the fields the bodies burning
As the war machine keeps turning
Death and hatred to mankind
Poisoning their brainwashed minds,

Oh lord yeah!

Politicians hide themselves away
They only started the war
Why should they go out to fight?
They leave that role to the poor

Time will tell on their power minds
Making war just for fun
Treating people just like pawns in chess
Wait 'till their judgement day comes, yeah!

Now in darkness, world stops turning
Ashes were the bodies burning
No more war pigs of the power
Hand of god has struck the hour

Day of judgement, god is calling
On their knees, the war pigs crawling
Begging mercy for their sins
Satan, laughing, spreads his wings

OH LORD YEAH!

fuck war, fuck that ass fucker president bush who is gonna kill the world for his own adgenda. the only good war would be a revolution against the coruptness of the current class system in the usa and the gov its self. I hate the thought of war but if those fuckers sitting in an office are going to fuck everyone over and kill the world and who ever they dont kill they make slaves for the coporations that can pay off their represenates in congress then kill em all.

godamn commie pinko crybaby bastard putting in your stupid, leftist anti-Bush agendas into something that nothing to do with Bush. You think you'd have the right to say what's on your mind in your so called classless(commie) world. As long as there is democracy there will always be war and classes. This song is about how fucked war has become with Politicians (like Clinton) filling their Fat, Pig Bellies with the money they make from WAR.

supernaut1978 - you could be a very academically successful or financially successful person, but regardless you are a tool. Why don't you listen and learn from bands like Rage Against the Machine, System of a Down, Tool, Bob Marley, John Lennon, and COUNTLESS others to think for yourself man. Fuck authority, they brainwash you. "Emancipate yourself from mental slavery, for only you can free your mind." - Bob Marley
You've been brainwashed to think that anybody who opposes the current government is a 'commie". You don't even know what a commie is, it's just a label they've taught you. Break the walls down, be your own man, not some regurgitator of government doctrine. Do that or keep sacrificing your life to work 40 hours a week to make your boss rich, and put his punk ass kids through business school, and keep fighting somebody elses war so that American interests will be safe. Not the interests of the American people, that is, but the interests of the dominant upper class. My advice for you is question authority, free your mind, and think for your fucking self.

What the hell's wrong with being a commie? i'm an anarchist myself, but on paper communism looks a hell of a lot better than democracy.

Hey supernaut, why's it stupid to be anti-Bush, when you just called Clinton a pig? Billy"s a bastard too, but he did way less damage ni his 2 terms than Dubya"s already done in 2 years

The song is about power and how no one can truly be a truly honest and just person. I always thought that a cool idea for a video for this song would like a pupeteer guy holding the strings of people (kinda nsyncish but fuck those pop-cock-sucking-mother-fucking...and so on) and later "god" or some heavenly figure kills them

war does not stop war. hate does not stop hate. i dont believe in our government because i dont believe that anyone should have power over anyone else. we are slaves to our government. we do not live in a free country and you are totally blind if you think we do. but we have to live with it. we arent at a point in our evolution where were can exsist freely yet. "a revolution" wont do anything but change whos in charge. the injustice would stay the same, if it didnt get bigger.

the song is saying that war is a tool used by people with power to gain more power and get richer. the soldiers are nothing. they are merely pawns to do the governments bidding. i can assure you that it has nothing to do with psychotic-gunna-blow-up-the-world bush or fat, perverted clinton. it is against war plain and simple

MrMojoRisin5552, tool are much more than some stupid bitchy political band like rage. they work much more spiritually than politics. just live with the government. we are not ready to survive on our owns. as soon as someone said "theres no more government" the fighting for power would begin. if you truly listened to tool and cared about what they were saying you would know a little about Jungian. Read this and hopefully you will see how aestetic politics are:

to sum it up, whether it be democracy, fascism, communism, or anarchy, none of them will work. they all have their faults ESPECIALLY anarchy. if you believe anarchy would work then you havent taken time to think about what would happen if there suddenly was no government. Let it go. We arent ready to live without a government. If you want to abolish something aim for religion. It controls the government anyway.

I think this song captures the true essence of war perfectly, as something that is inherently evil and a devolution to mankind.

Now, in relation to the war we're about to start now, let's look at some history. The following was said by Hermann Goering, a Luftwaffe commander and second in command of the Nazi Regime.

Of course, the people do not want war. Why would some poor slob on a farm want to risk his life in a war when the best that he can get out of it is to come back to the farm in one piece. Naturally, the common people don't want war . . . that is understood. But, after all, it is the leaders of the country who determine the policy, and it is always a simple matter to drag the people along whether it is a democracy or a fascist dicatorship or a parliament or a communist dictatorship. Voice or no voice, the people can always be brought to the bidding of the leaders. That is easy. All you have to do is tell them they are being attacked, and denounce the pacifists for lack of patriotism and exposing the country to danger. It works the same way in any country."

Now, doesn't that sound a lot like what's happened over the past two years? But let's dig deeper.

Prior to the fascist takeover, a certain german consolidated power of chancellor, and president and became the dictator. Germany pulled out of the League of Nations, and then began to occupy Poland and Czechoslavakia (most notably, the Sudetenland).

Well, Ashcroft has pretty much taken over the Pentagon, the US effectively quit the UN and started war without a vote. And pretty soon, we're gonna occupy Iraq, Syria, Iran, and a host of other countries.

Then you can also look at the taking away of rights by the two Patriot Acts (one getting rid of probable cause, search and seizure by warrant only), and the reinstitution of the draft.

Sounds to me like the US is becoming a fascist country.

Oh, yeah, Ozzy is the shit.

#1 Why the hell are you debating politics on a song meanings board? I understand the song is anti-war and all that, but do we really want to come online to read about a song and see all the stuff we see on CNN? No, I don't think so.

#2 My lone comment on the war: We spent 12 years talking to the Iraqis. How much longer do we need to talk? I would also like to point out the only time they followed a U.N. resolution completley was when they ordered the inspectors to get out.

#3 Division2: Glad to see you know your history. Except you forgot a few things. Like the fact that the "certain german" went into those countries for land reasons and his own personal vendetta. Bush does have his own vedetta, and is doing what his father couldn't do. But he is not going ini there just for the fun of it, he';s going in the get rid of a man who if he were in power in the 30's and 40's he would have been your german's friend. Also, the germans didn't spend 12 years talking to each of those nations. They armed in like a year and jsut invaded. The germans also didn't have 45 countires backing them, they had one at the time of the mentioned above invasions, except for Poland when the Russians got involved for the germans.

#3 Last political thing, I promise. America traded Patriotism for Politics after WW1. WW2 was fought for patriotism thanks to Pearl Harbor, but most of the decisions made where politicaly motivated. (i.e. the rush the Berlin so the Russins wouldn't get there first) For the longest time, Partiotism in this country was all but dead after WW2. But on 9/11, we had a resurge of it. Then it died under the weight of the politics that surround us everyday. Just remember one thing: If this war started the week after 9/11, no one would even think of not supporting it. (One last thing, isn't it funny that eventhough they don't support military action, Russia Germany and France all want to be in the rebuilding stage of Iraq, but they have their own crumbling empires to worry about...)

#4 War Pigs is one if not the best anti-war song, too bad many people stop it after the third or fourth verse billing it as satanic

I'm not a USA citizen niether I live there. But War Pigs is so easy to understand that you guys are making too much deal about it. For me its about the stupid the war is, its just that. By the way, you have to improve your knowledge about international affairs if you want to talk about it.

I don't see why everyone is arguing about the war against Iraq when the song is based on the First and Second World Wars, and if you can't tell that by looking at the lyrics then i don't see why your posting in this thread.
