I find it hard
To drive your stupid car
I find it hard
Cause I never get that far
And you put my brain in overload
And I can't change gears
I cannot see the road
You got concrete eyes
And I cannot see your face
And I failed in life
Cause you crushed me with your hands
And you put my brain in overload
I can't change gears
I cannot see the road

Link(s):Very well said!!! Personally I see it as somebody held the person back from doing what they really wanted to do and now he feels that he can't go back, he's stuck and the car represents the life he's stuck with. It's crushing him.In practical life this ring tone is applied fro each and every rider whose cell rings while driving.enjoyed it very much!!!ajtnt.com/trailer/car/">car trailers

General Comment:They are the wrong lyrics, would be nice if they were changed...mrclean was right. Why are all of the lyrics wrong on this site for radiohead, all you have to do is go to greenplastic.com. Anyways, I love this song, the vocals are fantastic and very heartfelt, as Thom is so well known for. I like the origonal version of this song more cause you can hear the vocals and guitar more clearly. It is definately about his feelings towards car, which he very much dislikes.

General Comment:Thom was in a car accident when he was younger. A few of Radiohead's songs have lyrics that imply something about it. Great song - not long enough though.

General Comment:Thom is saying that cars make you stupid. Everyday you let this car drive you from meladrone place to another and little by little it just makes you more lazy and more stupid
