Coldplay – Trouble

  My Interpretation:My interpretation of this song is a guy was in love with someone, and he screwed something up. Now he's depressed and scared (spiders would symbolize this). He can't stop thinking about how he screwed everything up (hence the spiderwebs hanging over him). He meets the person again after being alone for so long ('Here I am in my little bubble') and is apologizing to her. This actually has happened countless times to me, and that's how I relate to the song.

  Song Meaning:Oh no I see--- (impending understanding of the situation)
  A spider web it's tangled up with me ( caught in his emotions for something)
  And I lost my head (erred and got seriously emotional with love, afraid of being trapped)
  The thought of all the stupid things I said (he regrets wasting your time telling you how much he loved you)
  
  Oh no what's this (no longer just sees it but feels the web)
  A spider web and I'm caught in the middle (he is in the middle because of struggling so much)
  So I turned to run (he thought he had better get away before he gets hurt)
  The thought of all the stupid things I've done (hes no longer just said things, he has done things like kissing or loving someone who didnt really want him)
  
  And oh I never meant to cause you trouble (hes sorry for wasting your time on him)
  And oh and I never meant to do you wrong (he really meant to the best for you)
  And oh well if I ever caused you trouble (spitefully admitting that he loves you so much that if he caused you any disturbance then he is heartfully sorry for it, basically turning himself into steps that she walks on)
  Oh no I never meant to do you harm ( maybe he believes that hes been so much trouble to her)
  
  So I twist and turn (he knows he is caught, and he twists and turns so he can lodge himself in her web)
  Here am I in my little bubble (she spun him into a bubbly cacoon on her web)
  
  they spun a web for me (maybe he believes that they did this to him on purpose, because he keeps falling in love with spidery women?)
  
  anyway, thats my interpretation. Coldplay has very intricate lyrics, and I thought I would share what I really believe he was trying to sing about.

  General Comment:I know exactly what it means. The thing is , I can't comment on it because it's so easy to see. Let's say he knows something we all need to know.
  We are all caught in this web and sometimes I wonder if most will ever wake up to realize it. lol...How ironic...Because most of you think you're awake lol...Anyways, this song is beautiful and speaks nothing of a human relationship but more of a spiritual relationship...( oh no I see, a spiderweb it's tangled up with me, and I lost my head). Indeed~~~ Great song........

  General Comment:I just heard this song for the first time. This song reminds me of an article I just read, where this girl has this very bad crush on a guy and he is married (though she was told he was single- otherwise she wouldn't even have looked his way in the first place) and so his wife sets her up and drags her through the mud because she believes she is trying to steal her man. The man and wife and other friends had a wonderful time hurting this woman who was just confused in the first place. This woman was married and should not even have looked at this man however, so God punished her very badly. So badly, in fact that she cried every single day for a year because she felt very bad that she hurt anyone in the first place and that she acted like such a fool, and that the people she liked so much, hated her. So, she decided to stay away from all of them, and be by herself, because the whole thing was wrong in the first place, and a big spider web was spun. Now she didn't trust anyone. In the end however, she wished them all the best, and if they ever wanted to be just friends one day, she would open the FRONT door for them, and would let it all go, so life could move on. She was a very good person and had a big heart, she was just going through a dumb phase. Yea, that was an interesting article. Crazy how people get caught up in stupidity. He has a great voice this singer!

  General Comment:This song makes me think about all of the people who I've ever hurt or done wrong and I feel so terrible and I think about how I can't go back in time to fix it.Whenever I sing along to this song I shut my eyes and sing from my heart and think about those people and I can't help but cry,I wish I could sing this song to all of them and tell them how sorry I am for ever hurting them.I never meant to do the people who's spun a support web for me harm...I just act and don't think.

  General Comment:My dad started playing this in the car. So there I am, staring out of the window and it's tipping it down outside and the sky is slowly darkening. And this song suited the atmosphere perfectly.
