Can anybody fly this thing
Before my head explodes
Or my head starts to ring

We've been living life
Inside a bubble
We've been living life
Inside a bubble

Confidence in you
Is confidence in me
Is confidence in high speed

Can anybody stop this thing
Before my head explodes
Or my head starts to ring

We've been living life
Inside a bubble
We've been living life
Inside a bubble

Confidence in you
Is confidence in me
Is confidence in high speed

High speed
High speed

High speed you on
High speed you on
High speed you on
High speed

General Comment:Even though I'm sure this is not the real intent of the song.
To me, it feels like my situation.
I've never lived anywhere except this same city.
    In the same area.
    With my mom.
    I'm 17.
People expect a lot of me.
They're really confident that I'm going to make something of myself.
    But I'm scared.
I am stuck between two options.
Going to a college in my state for science.
Or going to New York for dance.

    I don't know.
    Maybe it's just me.
But I feel like it fits.

General Comment:Hey guys! Nice to read all ur comments when I have to analyze the song to my exame tomorrow. But I still wonder what the last text means? The bridge, where Chris sings: High speed you want. ....?
I agree with some of u guys that it's about the community. That we just live without thinking about if this is the way I want to live, not stops for second I feel if its the right thing for me. Not living life, but just living everyone elses life. Is in such I russ that I don't notice that I'm living inside a bubble and closing my eyes for problems that will come of living others lives.
But I as I asked: What does: High speed u want, THEN means?

General Comment:Fast-paced self-absorbed living, whether in a relationship or not, is ultimately unliveable.

General Comment:His idea behind "living life inside a bubble" is that him and his significant other have been living so closed off that they are the only people in their lives. No one else, and nothing else, matters, and he just wants to be able to slow it down and relax...

General Comment:when he says 'can anybody fly this thing?' I think he means the world and life itself. He is talking about how crazy and busy the world has become

General Comment:On the first few listens it sounded to me like he's saying "How spiritual" at the end. I almost wished that was what was said...would be appropriate.

General Comment:personally, this is my favorite song off the album Parachutes, along with Don't Panic and Trouble. I love the beginning, especially, the electric guitar.

General Comment:I don't think it's about a relationship. I think it's about life and situations in the world. With things going so fast and out of control. The bubble is ignorance. People being in their own bubble, oblivious to what is going on in the rest of the world. The confidence part, I'm not quite sure about, but I suspect it's about having confidence in our ability to turn things around if we try.
