I can't believe that no one else has commented this song. I think that this song is very well written and I like it a lot. I think that it has a nice little Emo sound to it and I enjoy listening to it a lot. I think that Coldplay is a pretty good band. They have some good usic with a nice Emo toon to it. At least that's wut I think. Well I just thought this song was pretty good and it suprised me when I saw that no one really had commented this song. O well I guess. I'm really into Emo and Old Skool Punk and I think that the instrumental and lyrics to this song are Emo in a way so that's like one of the main reasons I like it.:)

Definitely good to listen to if you're not in the best of moods... gives me a little encouragement when I need it...especially the line, "And everybody's out to get you, don't you let it drag you down." I love Coldplay!:)

Coldplay shouldn't be compared to "emo." Them not being emo is the very reason I like them. Well, not exactly. I like them because they've got great lyrics and they're just good musicians.

I love this song - it's a good one to listen to you if you're a bit down because it's really positive 'Don't you let it drag you down' is a really good line.
Another brilliant track from Coldplay - they RULE!

So, no one really commented on the song, just the band. The song is pretty self explanatory. When you're having a bad day or something is wrong in your life that you think will have no resolution, don't let it drag you down. At the concert in Chicago, Chris Martin himself said during the song, " remember that every problem has a solution.
Everything's not lost.

thank you whoever for saying that coldplay should not be compared to "emo". i hate that phrase. there is no such thing. unless you count crying babies strumming on their guitars. sorry i just had a rant...anyway coldplay are amazing artists and this song is of course almost perfect. i think it holds something much deeper than simply having a bad day but i think ill keep that to myself...

the meaning is pretty straight forward.

I just wanted to say that the guitar in this song completely makes this song what it is...which is beautiful...so say the least.

wow.. i didn't even realize i had this song.. I was down because my life isn't going so well right now.. my SO is kind of neglecting me... and all i heard was:

i agree with briang, this song is the ultimate pick-me-up. i cannot believe that the first time i heard it i hated it. its truly beautiful. and people say all coldplay is is depressing!

this song is the perfect sing-along... probably the highlight of the 2 Coldplay gigs I've been to. You really don't feel lost when it's 10,000+ on their feet singing with you.

one of the best coldplay's best songs. to me it is just a very optimistic view on life. everyone has problems, everyone is sad or feels "neglecgted" at some point, but in the end its never as bad as it seems. they say theres a type of music or specific song for every feeling or situation, and this song prooves it. play this song when youre having a bad day and it really makes you feel better as if despite all of the problems everythings not lost.
