I recently listened the song at night when I was driving with my car a bit around....creepy. I mean the song's meaning is obvious,.....but this voice + the background is just incredible!

I think that the third line is really "of seing it all" and the first line of the second verse is "Love, I hope we grow old." Chris Martin's voice is especially haunting in this song.

I love this song. It's sooooo beautiful. To me this song is obviously about love. But to elaborate I think he's letting someone know that he loves her so much that he's "easy to please." When you love someone it's so hard for you to be disappointed in them. I think we all would like to have that feeling.

Toldplay is such an amazing band, you can feel the emotion in chris's voice, and every song just blows me away. This is a great love song and one of my favourites

Eerie is the right word to describe this song, i guess...

definitely one of the best coldplay songs, and the best that nobody's heard of. they do have that indie sound which i normally get bored of halfway thru the first song, but like any kind of music, each genre has a band that transcends its genre, and is just good music period, and coldplay is one of those bands.

I definitely agree with the theory of this song meaning that it is hard for the singer to be disappointed in the one that he is singing to. Sometimes, you can be so hooked on someone, and almost oblivious to their faults. It's insane that someone can do that to you.

I can't help but stress how much i love this song...its like...i can relate...cuz me and this girl are like...pretty much not in a relationship at all...but...i still am stupid enough to believe i have a chance to have her fall in love with me...but i promise her that i am now easy to please...and i hope we can make up...because i really love her...if i wasnt that easy to please before...i am now...for her i am anything...id do anything... =(

I'm with Lemonhead on this one. He hopes that they are going to grow old and that he's going to find a way, but he instantly realizes that it won't happen. Therefore he desperately tries to convince his girl that he's easy to please in order to make her stay.
Quite a sad song, but so damn beautiful...

I think this Coldplay song is about how the singer wants to spend his life with the one he loves. But the one he loves thinks that that would be a hard challenge. But the singer says that its actually easy

I love this song.
To me this song is about a guy who really loves a girl, and he wants to grow old with her, and to be happy, But at the same time, he knows that he's not a good person for her, because he's so easy to please... it doesnt really matter to him who he's with.. he could care less. But this girl loves him so much.. and that makes him happy.. but at the same time he's trying to "find a way" to warn her that he's sooo easy to please. And he might hurt her, because he could easily find someone else. But at the same time he doesn't want to hurt her.. he would rather sette for her and grow old with her and make her happy, because she is very much in love with him.

This song is about someone who is struggling with thier emotions.

But i also agree with your interpretations.
Absolutely beautiful song. so much meaning in 16 lines.

I know Coldplay and Radiohead comparisons are made all too often but this song really has a similar feel (music wise) to Exit Music. The background atmospherics and whispery acoustics especially.

Easy to Please is a most beautiful love song. I mean, Chris doesn't make this song too wordy; it's so simply put.He's attempting to let the lady in his life know she needs not try to impress, just be who she is, and he'll love her still and obviously if he's so easy to please, there's nothing that she could really do that would disappoint or repulse him. It's so beautiful like other Coldplay songs e.g.Yellow and Your Love Means Everything.

I take a different meaning on this song.. to me it's about him being hopeless and just wanting someone to love him. When he keeps referring to "love", i think he's literally talking to that part of his emotion
