You told me that you want to die
I said I've been there myself more than a few times
And I go back every once in a while
You called me lucky, you.. you called me lucky

You said tonight is a wonderful night to die
I asked you how you could tell
You told me to look at the sky
Look at all those stars
Look at how goddamn ugly the stars are

It's one or another
Between a rope and a bottle
I can tell you're having trouble breathing

'Cause you'll never be okay
You'll never be okay
(You'll always be in pain)
You'll always feel this way
'Cause things they never work out right
(the wrong way the lonely way)
You'll always be in pain

You told me that the daylight burned you
And that the sunrise was enough to kill you
I said maybe you're a vampire
You said it's quite possible I feel truly dead inside

'Cause you'll never be okay
You'll never be okay
(You'll always be in pain)
You'll always feel this way
'Cause things they never work out right
(the wrong way the lonely way)
You'll always be in pain

Don't forget to let your life rot you inside out
Don't forget to let your life rot you inside out
Don't forget to let your life rot you inside out

My Interpretation:It seems like he's mocking the 'friend' who died in the chorus. "It's one or the other, between a rope and a bottle, I can tell you're having trouble breathing." The last line is not exactly something one in mourning would say. But then, as dstav said, it might be just Skiba trying to show how he wasn't taking the friend seriously.

General Comment:I think "Don't forget to let your life rot you inside-out" means don't forget to keep your problems on the inside. i.e. keep up a positive facade whether you feel positive or depressed inside. It's intentionally bad advice, much like the chorus. The real message is the opposite - don't bottle your emotions within yourself and cause your life to rot from the inside out.

General Comment:This song is a tribute to one of matt's friends who killed himself and the fact that he knew he was depressed but didn't take his suicidal thoughts seriously. this is evident by the line "i've been there myself more than a few times" meaning "everyone gets depressed" the fact that he didn't take him seriously is evidenced by the way he jokes about his friends depression "Maybe your a vampire."

I love this song. It's amazing. I can relate to.
The daylight burns me and the sunrise was enough to kill me. Maybe I'm a vampire.

General Comment:This song is actually about one of Matt's good friends who committed suicide. He wrote it for him and has felt that way a couple times.

General Comment:Just before after the intro, before the guiters come in, you can year someone saying "2,3,4" or something like that.

It's kinda melodramatic at times, but also realistic. It's like he says don't expect everything to be shiney and happy, life is shit, deal with it.

"Look at how goddamn ugly the stars are", one of my favourite trio lines.

General Comment:This song is diffiently scarcastic and an anti-suiside song. The verse

"You told me that the daylight burns you and that the sunrise was enough to kill you. I said 'maybe youre a vampire'. Said "It's quite possible i feel truly dead inside"

Well ovbiosuly matts friend is complaining about life and matt sarcasticly goes "well maybe youre a vampire" implying to get over himself, and then his friend goes like "it's quite possible i feel truely dead inside" and matt put that in there becuase ovbiosuly his freind didnt catch his sarcasim.
