So I'll jump on the bandwagon and agree that the song is definitely for (hell, even about) Kat. I'm not sure about it going along with the whole concept theory. Right now, for me, its a love song about two people who aren't always the best they could be for each other. Yet, despite this, they still love each other. Isn't that what love is anyway? Loving someone for their strengths and weaknesses.

These guys are great.

this isn't a meaning to the song, i think every1 pretty much covered that...but i have to ask..how can you stop liking great music just because it has become more popular? thats awful.
if you read in the newest edtion of blender magazine, they interveiwed mcr. i quote from gerard. "if your in this band, you're in it for the right reasons. you're not in it for the money or fame. you're in it to do some good. becoming more popular, it's like granting us superpowers and we have to use them to fight evil."
and if you were a big fan when they werent as popular, and if your ever bought any of their stuff, mabye a tshirt, a cd?....then you were basically promoting them and helping them become more popular...then they finally do get more popular and u want to turn agenst them?

haha givemehellkid, i bought that magazine because there was an interview with them and it totally showed me alot about them even though i was a huge fan to begin with. your right, you should stop liking a band because more people like them. if you do then you were never really a fan. so how about xxxdaniellexxx shuts the hell up unless she knows the bandmates personallly and they said "ohh were going too mainstream. people wont like us" you dont know shit. or am i being too critical ?

i think that this song is about a relationship that never works out. He is obsessed so much with this love, that he would do anything for her to show his devotion, even if it means death. "We'll show them all how much we mean, as snow falls on desert sky"-this shows that he knows the relationship will not work, just as snow cannot fall in the desert. "
the only way to get a song is to read deep into it not just understand the surface.

i have thought again, and i reckon that this is about their wedding day and how they're getting married to show each other their love but then they get killed and stuff and he's just saying how much he loves her and they'll stay together even when they are dead, and then thats how it leads on to the next album.. but i dunno, im probably wrong! im going to see them in November, i cant wait 5 whole months!!!

You hear him talking about until.... I think this is as romantic as you can get while still being dark and demented. Kill (blood)obsessed. I think on some level we are all obsessed with mortality, or the lack of it in either direction. A love song that speeks of ending a love at the hight of passion. You wont feel anything after the end, why not feel the best at the end.

this song.. is so sweet.. especially since it is sung by gerard.. who is the most beautifullest guy in the whole world but anyways.. its about kat.. an ex girlfirend to make up for the songs he sung about killing her. I think it is about a love that could never be, he loved her so much exept there love destroyed each other, or gerard in particular. I dont care if mcr have gone a little mainstream.. they are still my favourite band no matter what, its fucking fucked to stop liking a band if they go mainstream unless they go all pussy.. for example the used.. gone pussy.. but still so likeable but anyways back to the subject mcrs new cd is great.. but i brought you my bullets you brought me your love was perfection. One of my favourite albums and this is one of my fav songs.

MCR is the shit. This song made me cry (aww so emo!) And, yes, they are too popular. Yet still my favorite band. xonxmyxownx is right, they're a little mainstream but the music isn't pussy or anything, so shut the fuck up people. Thanks :D

Ok, Im not sure if anyone else noticed this or if anyone posted this already, so if this has already been posted im sorry but...
On the back of the booklet in three cheers for sweet revenge near the bottom it says the cover and the tray card were by Gerard and it says the cover is called "Demolition Lovers II"
I just thought that was kind of cool...

This is definitely my favorite MCR song... I'm going to see them in concert in 4 days (yay!) and I'm really, really hoping that they play it.

Anyway.... whenever I listen to it, I always pictured two lovers just leaving it all and hitting the highway together... and they're very much in love, until something bad happens, maybe they fight and he goes crazy, and they both end up dying...

Yeah, I'm probably wrong, but that's just my interpretation.
