Without a sound I took her down
and dressed in red and blue I squeezed
Imaginary wedding gown
That you can't wear in front of me
A kiss goodbye, your twisted shell
As rice grains and roses fall at your feet
Lets say goodbye, the hundreth time
And then tomorrow we'll do it again

I dragged her down I put her out
And back there I left her where no one could see
And lifeless cold into this well
I stared as this moment was held for me
A kiss goodbye, your twisted shell
As rice grains and roses fall at your feet
Lets say goodbye, the hundreth time
And then tomorrow we'll do it again

I never thought it'd be this way
Just me and you, we're here alone
And if you stay, all I'm asking for is
A thousand bodies piled up
I never thought would be enough
To show you just what I've been thinking

And I'll keep on making more
Just to prove that I adore
Every inch of sanity
All I'm asking for is, all I'm asking for is

These hands stained red

From the times that I've killed you and then
We can wash down this engagement ring
With poison and kerosene
We'll laugh as we die
And we'll celebrate the end of things
With cheap champagne

Without, without a sound
And I wish you away

My Interpretation:I think this song is about a man, Gerard, who loves a woman, but she's marrying someone else. This makes him very, very angry, and he kills people and pretends they are her for revenge. But he can't actually kill her, because he loves her.

"Without a sound I took her down
and dressed in red and blue I squeezed
    Imaginary wedding gown
That you can't wear in front of me"
She's engaged and fantasizes about the wedding, which Gerard will never be able to attend.

"Lets say goodbye, the hundredth time
And then tomorrow we'll do it again
    Tomorrow we'll do it again"
He's killed countless, possibly hundreds of women.

"I never thought it'd be this way
Just me and you, we're here alone
And if you stay, all I'm asking for is
    A thousand bodies piled up
I never thought would be enough
To show you just what I've been thinking"
She breaks up with her fiance and goes back to Gerard. He tells her about what he did, all the people he killed for her. He thinks that the reason she came back was because she knew he'd killed for her and finally understood his feelings.

"And I'll keep on making more
Just to prove that I adore
    Every inch of sanity"
He's going to keep killing for her to show how much he appreciates having her in his life. Now that she is his again, his mind is clear and focused instead of being run mad/blinded by rage.

    "These hands stained red
From the times that I've killed you and then
We can wash down this engagement ring
    With poison and kerosene"
Like I said, before he would kill the people and pretend it was her to take out his anger.
Gerard has killed many, many people at this point. He will be discovered eventually. They cannot live a happy life together. So he suggests they should die together.
Either one of them will swallow the ring, and they'll wash it down with poison and kerosene.
    "We'll laugh as we die
And we'll celebrate the end of things
    With cheap champagne"
They won't be sad about their death. They're finally together.
    She made the right decision.
    They're glad it's over.

This was just my take on the lyrics as I was reading them, aha. Beautiful stories, the main reason I love this band!

    General Comment:"Imaginary wedding gown
That you can't wear in front of me"

I'm pretty sure it's "imagining a wedding gown that you can't wear in front of me". That is a reference to the fact that, traditionally, grooms aren't supposed to see their brides in their gowns before the ceremony (it's bad luck for the marriage).

General Comment:A thousand bodies piled up... Yes, I think I get part of the song. I read somewhere that part of the story to Three Cheers for Sweet Revenge, is that he and the girl he loves are both dead. The girl makes it straight into heaven, but the man has to make up for all the wrong that he's done, and his redemption is to kill a thousand evil people. I forget wear I read it, but it starts to make sense now.
Maybe, for example, the first verse is referring to him while he's still trying to redeem himself. Talking about how much he misses her and how he wants to see her or something, and that every day he misses her more and more...?

General Comment:So, my friend gave me this CD to borrow. Seeing as the posers thought to much of the Black Parade, I thought the same for this album, at first. Man was I EVER wrong. I love OLD My Chemical Romance. And this is one of my favorites off of it.

Anyways, I feel this song is about a guy {Gerard} who breaks up with a girl because it was to stressful to be in this relationship. He still loves her very much and wishes they could still be together. But she is still very disapointed in him. He tells her I love you by "falling red roses at your feet." But he has to say goodbye anyways what seems like "the hundredth time."

Then "I never thought it'd be this way..." kicks in. It's saying time has gone by and they can finally be together again because "just me and you, we're here alone. When he sings "a thousand bodies piled up, I never thought would be enough, to show you what I've been thinking," he tells her how he's really been missing her. And he'll keep telling her by "making more, just to prove that I adore."

And "From the times I've killed you" starts. He's sorry he had done away with her. Then, he says "we can wash down this engagement ring." Saying, let's do without the difficulties and let's just do what we want. And they "celebrat with cheap champagne."

Finally, "without a sound, I wish you away. He's wising away the difficulties.

This is not a great interpretation because I'm tired and some of these sentences might seem a bit scarmbled. Anyways, I can really relate to this song. It reminds me of a relationship I had had and he decided to break up because we never saw each other. We still don't. I just hope my situation ends like this song ded.

i think its about someone who's lover lied to them, and so he kills her. but, it seems to take on a totally different tone here:
"And I'll keep on making more
Just to prove that I adore
    Every inch of sanity
All I'm asking for is, all I'm asking for is..."
i have no idea what that means.
"From the times that I've killed you and then
We can wash down this engagement ring
    With poison and kerosene
    We'll laugh as we die
And we'll celebrate the end of things
    With cheap champagne"
now this part sounds like joint suicide.
its kinda confusing. one of my fave MCR songs, next to "bury me in black", "honey this mirror...", and "our lady of sorrows". its even my screen name!

General Comment:i think its about a psycho fantasy about killin a girl (most likely an ex gf) and using her body over and over 4 some sick, twisted wedding fantasy which, if im correct, REALLY disturbing and oddly beautiful. this band does wat Boys Night Out does, which is, make murder and violence sound perfect and beautiful. and THATS REALLY hard 2 do! BOYS NIGHT OUT AND MY CHEMICAL ROMANCE 4 LIFE!!!!!
