This song is nothing less than amazing. The energy put into it, especially the chorus, is unreal. MCR is one of the best live shows I've ever been to, but at the time, I didnt know any of the songs. I bought the album and Im more than happy with it. MCR ROCKS!!

I think the song is about a relationship that Gerad (lead singer) had and that it was slowly coming to an end and he wanted to make the best of what was left, and he wanted to leave her a message (see chorus)...on another note, MCR is definetly one of my favorite bands. I saw them when they were touring wtih Piebald and had never heard of them but as soon as the show was done I bought their CD and bought a shirt and have loved them ever since...They are purely mesmerizing live and it's just great!

i think this song is definately about revenge. the narrator is saying stop being such a coward "shed your yellow"...and the whole switchblade fighting thing. its violent. he's saying lets just get this over with, and then you can "trade me for an apparition"-ill leave. he says they have to fight to finally settle the score and " put this at an end"

My friends and I were having a talk about what " If you would shed your yellow take my hand" means. I said that it might be in referance to how yellow use to mean scared or a wuss. So in other words in would mean to shed you fear and come with me. Man that is ROCKEN. MCR KICKS ASS

This song is fuckin awesome, they played a great show on oct. 28th and 29th. kicked ass at both shows, wish they had played this song. this is one of the best off i brought you my bullets, this and vampires will never hurt you. anyone know why matt felissier hasnt been playing with them lately? i saw them at the 10th anniversary warped tour, he wasnt playing then, and he wasnt playing in the past 2 shows on the 28th and 29th, anyone know why?

This song is about friendship.

That's obviously about all the ass holes that are out to get you, but if you have your friends and stuff, you'll be alright and get through whatever is vexing you.

I have a live version of this song, and Gerard says something like:
"You probably came with your best friend, or one of your best friends...
I want you to turn to that mother fucker, grab him by the throat and say 'Your my best fucking friend, and I would die for you!' "

So that really sums it up.

i think this song is baout standing up for what you believe in no matter how hard it is.

"...shed your yellow. take my hand and then, well solve the mystery of laceration gravity." - i am not sure but i think this is saying dont be a coward just take my hand and we can do anything because laceration gravity doesnt mean anything as far as i know so solving its mystery would be impossible. (if you know what laceration gravity means please tell me)

"cross the patron saint of switch blade fights"- agian saying you can do something impossible because to cross the patron saint of switchblade fights would be stupid and youd get cut up becuase he is the best at switchblade fights.

"oh how wrong we were to think that immortality meant never dying" means that if you do stand up for what you believe in even after you die something will remain because of what you have done and in essence you will be immortal even though you are dead.

I love MCR! This song fuckin rocks. But the weird thing is, I didn't know that MCR was from Newark, New Jersey...And that's where I live... So now I'm actually proud I'm living there because I'm from the same place as them!!!

lol u can be proud :s . neway this song is AMAZING after honey this mirror isnt big enough for the both of us its my favourite on that album.

i dont think this song is nessesaraly about friendship but i think its just about relationships its obviously about the relationship anding too or coming near the end

i think that this is an amazing and deep song and id like to believe its just about making the best of relationships because that is inspiring
