hold on to that lead they sometimes pull so tight
and there\'s bad boy oscar he been up all night
and if oxygen ran out you know he just won\'t care
it\'ll be like \"throw that stick one more time of there\"!
and we went
woh! poodle rockin baby
poodle rockin
my mind was a mess
before you brought happiness
and we went
woh! poodle rockin baby
poodle rockin
you\'re chasing sticks and stones
like you just don\'t care at all
dear round alice she been sick outta sight
she\'s just ate three whole boxes of turkish delight
oh waggy waggy tail and chasing sticks and stones
those victory laps and sgt pepper tones
and we went
woh! poodle rockin baby
poodle rockin
my mind was a mess
before you brought happiness
and we went
woh! poodle rockin
poodle rockin
you\'re chasing sticks and stones
like you just don\'t call at all
and there\'s bad boy oscar he been up all night
and if oxygen ran out you know he just won\'t care
it\'ll be like \"throw that stick one more time of there\"!
and we went
woh! poodle rockin baby
poodle rockin

"We're sitting around the studio, and one of the engineers starts talking about wavelengths, wave forms and stuff, kilohertz," McCartney recalls. "I still don't understand these things - I'm completely nontechnical. And as for John, he couldn't even change a plug - he really couldn't, you know. The engineers would be explaining to us what all this stuff was. An ultrasonic sound wave - 'a low one, you can kill people with the low ones.' We were all saying, 'Wow, man. Hey, wow.' 'And the high ones,' he said, 'only dogs can hear it.' We said, 'We gotta have it on! There's going to be one dog and his owner, and I'd just love to be there when his ears prick up.'"
