like a turtle on its back
like a blind man walking the streets of new york
like a fire in a glass
my heart is wrapped up in a cellophane bag

i seperate the memories
i think of the things that i've done wrong
i throw them away to conceal the pain
it was one long night, i've been beat down

trapped so deep i cant even breathe
i scream an unanswered call
it's six forty-two in the a.m.

when the bustle meets the rush
as the blind man walks the streets of new york
as the fire turns to smoke
the lack of oxygen causes me to choke

i bet you cant live life like that

General Comment:this song immediately caught my attention and quickly became my favorite on the album. it almost reminds me of The Police "King of Pain" because of the first few lines and how they're supposed to be metaphors. but, that's just what I thought.

General Comment:There Something About How Odd This Song Is. I Dont Know Why I Like It As Much As I Do. Everything Sounds So Distant But The Vocals. I Saw This Band A Few Times. Havent Heard Anything Of Them In About A Year. The Drumming In This Song Is Unique As Fuck.
