One shot all I need
I've got rhythm when I bleed

'Til death do us part
Break my heart so I can start

Supercalifragilistic
Kiss me in the futuristic
Twisted but I must insist
It's time to get on top of this

[Chorus]
It's right on time
It's right on time
It's right on time
It's right on time it's right on time
it's right on time it's right on time
Lookin' fine you're lookin' fine get on 1999
It's right on time

Discard to bombard
Calling all you shooting stars

Holy cow bow wow wow
Now I'm here I'm nowhere now

Joan of Arc reincarnated
Maybe we could be related
So much blood to circulate
And so much space to decorate

[Chorus]

Plain and simple pain
I want to but I can't complain

Death row let us go
It's time to blow up for the show

All the world reverberated
Coming through we motorcaded
Vibrate when we operated
Turning up in solid stated

Oh Lord

General Comment:WHO CARES WHAT IT'S ABOUT? IT'S AN AWESOME SONG!

    "Plain and simple pain
    I want to but I can’t complain

    Death row let us go
It’s time to blow up for show"

Those are my fave lyrics, not for the meaning, but it gets a cool beat then. and isn't it : "In good old 1999"

General Comment:haha wow you guys are funnyyy here. well okay, iforgormypassword..dude, (first of all good luck with that!) and secoundly, not all chili songs are about drugs, maybe like a good 4 and a half percent outta 100, but the rest are about sex and love and lust. you know? as for this song i think its drugs casue i agree with..bryannrhcp up there. becuase that is true. but also the lyrics are wrong- the chourus really goes like this-

    It’s right on time
    It’s right on time
    It’s right on time
It’s right on time it’s right on time it’s right on time
    It’s right on time
Lookin’ fine you’re lookin’ fine in good ol 1999
    It’s right on time

General Comment:i think the individual that said that 90% of chili peppers songs are about drugs is incorrect, regardless of personal opinion. i believe that most of its is more of a 60-40 type thing, or a 70-30 not a 90-10 thing thats too much

General Comment:You know the part at the end of the song where there's some kind of backwards phrase. I listened to it backwards and I heard "You need this? Yes Sir. You need this? Yes Sir. Okay." Anyone have anyclue what that could mean?

General Comment:the lyric "break my heart so i can start" also makes it sound like its about drugs, because in his book scar tissue he said any time he broke up with a girl it would trigger him to go on drug runs
