You can tell by the way she walks
That she's my girl.
You can tell by the way
She talks she woos the world.
You can see in her eyes
That no one is her change
She's my girl,
My supergirl.

And then she'd say:
"It's OK, I got lost on the way
But I'm a super girl
And super girls don't cry"
And then she'd say:
"It's alright, I got home
Late last night
But I'm a super girl
And super girls just fly".

And then she'd say
That nothing can go wrong
When you're in love
What can be wrong?
And then she'd laugh
The night time into day
Pushing her fear
Further alone

And then she'd say:
"It's OK, I got lost on the way
But I'm a super girl
And super girls don't cry"
And then she'd say:
"It's alright, I got home
Late last night
But I'm a super girl
And super girls just fly".

And then she'd shout
Down the line
Tell me she's got no more time
Cause she's a supergirl
And supergirl's don't cry

And then she'd scream
In my face
Tell me to leave,
Leave this place
Cause she's a supergirl
And supergirl's just fly

Yeah she's a supergirl,
A supergirl.
She's so in seeds
She's burning trees
She's so in seeds
She's burning streams
Yeah she's a supergirl
A supergirl
A supergirl
My supergirl.

My Interpretation:I think song is about a girl who's traing to be good with all of the bad things her boyfriend does. She feels guilty of that situation, so she gives him the excuses ( i got home late last night). She feels that sth is wrong in their relationship, but tries to be above this situation, cause she loves him. The boyfriend is using her goodness. Although he loves her, he still feels young and free, and he wants to party. He doesn't respect her at all. Then she screamed and shout, she couldn't tolerate it anymore... he still loves her and she's his supergirl.

General Comment:I think this song is about a girl who is unfaithful to her boyfriend and stonewalls him. It is about what she says, as an excuse for being late home.

My Interpretation:This song is probably about a girl the author/loves .
He knows her vulnerabilities but repects her fora all she is.
Although she tries not to cry or to show herself emotional, he knows her deep inside and for him she's definitely a supergirl...
I also think it's a kind of hommage toall the "supergirls" who try to carry on whatever the circunstances(love pain,,,)

General Comment:I agree with you all! I just wanna add that this "Supergirl" image that she builds for herself, can be mistaken for a Strength, but it's actually a weakness.

General Comment:I agree with LoneMoonBeam. To me this song is about a girl who won't allow herself to feel. She is a
Supergirl and so can't allow herself to be weak. Perhaps she has been hurt in the past and so now won't let her walls down, that way she cannot be hurt. But because she cannot allow herself to be hurt, she cannot allow anyone else in, and therefore once it gets difficult she runs away in order to save herself.

Song Meaning:i think its about a girl who was hurt before, and finds it hard to let anyone in
she leans on excuses such as "im a supergirl" and "im strong", and says she can deal with it alone
the guy tries to commune with her but she blocks him out of fear for being hutr again
i watched the clip... in there they make love, and in the end, just hug
she tries to be free and be herself but she stops herself, just her human needs helped her a bit, and afterwards she couldnt help but to shut her emotions down again
    i love this song.

General Comment:I think that this song is about a girl who is independent, popular and dynamic. She's hurt by someone but she cannot show it because she has the rep of a "super girl" and has to do everything right and live her life like she has no problems at all...

General Comment:I think that this song is about a young couple and that the boy sometimes makes wrong choices or things that would normally affect the girl... (like get lost in his way and come late at night) but she doesn't care, because she's a Supergirl, she can deal with it. But it seems that in the end she gets tired and leaves... (tells him to leave this place) and flies...

    That's what i think :)

General Comment:I agree with romankazimir2003; the lines "she's sewing seeds, she's burning trees" seem to state that she first turns their world around and then leaves them with nothing. She doesn't realize that when you sew seeds a consequence is that a tree grows from that, methaphorically speaking. She's kind of all over the place.

It just seems to me that she's young and free-spirited, being the indepent girl who enjoys her freedom and shouldn't get into a relationship because she will never be able to make the commitment it requires. She's a tough one.

General Comment:i absolutely agree with madrigal. He just totaly loves her,she means a lot to him.But she is ,,supergirl'' she can do it all on her own.And she don't need anybody else.It sad to think...but this song remainds me so about me and my brother. He is 27 years and i am 15.He always wan't to help me,but now he is in mental hospital.Just for one week. Sorry for telling this here but this song is just so important to me now...
