So I want to kill this waitress
she's worked her a year longer than I
If I did it fast you know that's an act of kindness

But I believe in peace
I believe in peace, Bitch
I believe in peace

I want to kill this waitress
I can't believe this violence in mind
and is her power all in her club sandwich

I want to kill this killing wish
they're too many stars and not enough sky
Boys all think she's living kindness
ask a fellow waitress
ask a fellow waitress

Song Meaning:Tori has stated that a few of her songs that deal with animosity between and for other women around this time were inspired by her rivalry - professional and romantic, with Courtney Love. This song included.

My Interpretation:I think this song is about having a strong dislike for someone, and having a desire to "get rid of them" so to speak. Notice the beginning lyric "So I want to kill this waitress.".

General Comment:I agree with comments above comments- the song seems to be about being angry about being angry. If you've ever worked any kind of job with a disgruntled older woman, this song is so spot on! You are mad that they have the power to make them angry- that you might be giving them that power. I also love the passive-aggressiveness of "I believe in peace........BITCH." haha. Gotta love Tori!

General Comment:Ugh this song is genius!! For real, ask a fellow waitress. I had never felt so angry at other women until I was one, and I would think, "where is this anger coming from? I've always been such a peaceful person." I learned quickly that you really cannot be the classic nice girl when you're a waitress or you will get wrecked. I heard this song and honestly thought Tori was reading my mind.

General Comment:I think it's about a girl admiring another girl but being to proud to admit it to herself. I can totally understand that. It's like loving a girl, being attracted by her whole way to behave and espacially by her selfesteem and the huge amount of sky this one star is claiming for itself. But exactly this is, what also frightens her: the waitress taking her place, being more interesting, more amazing than herself. This is an aspect of love that only appears, if you feel attracted to a person of the same gender - when suddenly this admirability also becomes the subject of jealousy. There ist so much hatred for this person, but at the end, always very silent but present the answer to le thestion"if I love the waitress"

General Comment:This song is SO great to listen to if you went to an all-girls high school like I did!! The drama was always on, and always overblown, everyone hating each other, acting stupid, etc. Sometimes you just wanted to scream at them like Tori does in this song, "I believe in peace, BITCH!" Cornflake Girl is also really descriptive of this sort of thing too... no wonder my whole circle of friends was obsessed with Tori, she's just so good at cutting through all the drama.

General Comment:hatred toward a colleague shared by others in the workplace.

NIce song to chill out to after a bustup/piss off with a fellow FEMALE colleague/classmate.
