If you've heard all they got to say
You looked but turned away
Walkaway, walkaway
If you've said all you got to say
And now the words just slip away
Just walkaway, walkaway, walkaway
That's what they say, what they say,
what they say
You gotta walkaway

If you've played all the games they play
You played them yesterday
Walkaway, walkaway
If you've been, where they want to go
Seen all they got to show
Just walkaway, walkaway, walkaway
That's what they say, what they say,
what they say
You gotta walkaway

And now you must believe me
You never lose your dreams
And now you must believe me
We never lose our dreams

If you've proved all there is to prove
Got nothing left to use
Walkaway, walkaway
If you've done, all there is to do
There ain't nothing left for you
Just walkaway, walkaway, walkaway
That's what they say, what they say,
what they say
Walkaway, walkaway,walkaway
That's what they say, what they say,
what they say
You gotta walkaway

General Comment:top tune..... relates to almost anything in life whereby, you feel you have given your best to something, you have been committed 100% to something, where you have devoted x amount of time and totally exhausted every avenue to find and give solutions to problems, yet everything you have done, said, or shown has made little or no impact whatsoever due to the ignorance or/and arrogance of the other party.
A relationship maybe that has been on the verge of a breakdown and you have tried your best to save it but your partner has eyes elsewhere maybe.
Or, your career, whereby you have been 100% behind the company goals , ethos and mission statement but due to factors beyond your control everything you say or do to improve things just falls on deaf ears.
When you reach the point of hopelessness, whereby no matter what you have done, everything you do now is a waste of time and you know it, and you feel it
Before resentment sets in and before you ruin your emotional state with negativity then, well , time to walkaway

General Comment:The first verse "If you've heard all they've got to say, you look but turned away just walkaway walkaway" I think this means that you could be having an argument with a partner or a friend and say with the parter you are having an argument with says all you want to hear from them, then you walkaway from the partner because you've heard all you wanted to hear. Or the relationship could be over and he or she has just said something that could mean the end of the conversation then you walkaway.

The second verse " If you've said all you got to say now the words just slip away just walkaway walkaway walkaway" This means that you are trying to explain something to somebody that has happened between the person and you and the other person just isn't listening to you or it may mean when you say something to someone that you later on regret but you cant change it.

The last bit of the song " If you've prooved all there is to prove you got nothing left to use just walkaway walkaway" This could mean when you are trying to prove a point to someone and you've proved all you can prove to them and either they still don't believe you or you just can't say anymore to them so you just walkaway.

This song has got to be the best song i've ever heard in my life it takes out all your emotions when you are upset. I listen to it all the time

General Comment:A wonderful song. Some great comments here. I think the leaving home string is a good one. Sounds like he's assured in his decision. Ready for a bit of new scenery, so walkaway.

General Comment:I agree with you all, a really quite sad song but quite comforting at the same time. The ultimate break-up song.

General Comment:while this song is obviously about walking away from something (a relationship, home, your town etc) i think its also about making sure ur making the right decision, and tieng up any loose ends before you do.

If you've heard all they've got to say,
    You looked but turned away
    Walk away, just walk away

i think this is saying that if youve talked to people about walking away from whatever it is, and theyve tried to talk you out of it and you still feel the same, then do it.

If you've said all you got to say,
Now the words just slip away
    Just walk away

this bit i think is saying that you should only walk away once youve said everything that needs to be said, rather than keeping quiet then wishing you had said them once youve walked away
sad song in some ways, but one that makes a lot of sense to me.

General Comment:Very nice song, listened to it a lot in my childhood. It's one of those songs that just rolls off nicely and calms you down.
