    General Comment:I hav read about dis song somewhere. brett had a girl friend, and she died bcause of drugs. Mybe......anyway really great song. Fuuuck lady gaga.

    Memory:well, I finished reading Christiane F the other day when I noticed she said somthing like "so young, and so gone".. shame I just lend the book to a friend so I can't quote. anyway, the song just might be partly about it. I mean, drug using, waste of youth and so and so.. maybe a conection, and maybe not.

    General Comment:references to drugs are evident, but the prime meaning of the song is just YOUTH - drugs only relate to youth of then-youngs and Brett´s surround, so this must be there, it´s connected; important is the fact that the youth corresponde to fatigue ("we´re so gone") and there is some desire too - for some escape
    the video to this song is excellent and proves it
    I think it´s one of the best songs at all

    General Comment:The piano in this song is just amazing! I already knew about the "chasing the dragon" thing, but the reference to cocaine I didn't know. I think is beautiful and tragic the way he sees youth: "So young, and so gone..."

    General Comment:You are right with both drug references. Cocaine is referenced in this song, with the "skyline stained the snow". Heroin is not only referenced with "chase the dragon", but also "a servant who kept me on the boil" (both describing the same action.)

    Not all Suede songs are blatantly about drugs, which is what I've seen on here. Maybe these references were not intended and are coincidental, but they do sing about drugs legitmately in other songs.
