  My Interpretation:The " LOve can be mistaken for a crime" part makes me think this is definitely some sort of illegal love, like a father obsessed with his daughter, or just a man in love with a small child. Kinda disturbing, but still a good song.

  General Comment:take it literally, unless George Micheal himself tells you in plain words, just take it literally. He is a new dad. He has a new daughter. It's not about a relationship at all between lovers but one of father and child. Plain and simple.

  General Comment:I'm sorry if this offends people so much, but this song does sound as if it were narrated by a man in love with a child, or at least someone much younger. Doesn't the part about, well, a FATHER FIGURE give you a hint? Or that their love may be seen as a crime by those who don't understand it? It's obvious there's a great power imbalance, seen as the presumably older person is posing as the younger's father ("I'll be your daddy"). But truly, the reason why he would do that is because he wants his beloved to be happy, and thinks he or she wants/needs to be protected and guided by, well, a father figure. Their relationship is still obviously sexual, hence the bits about being naked, but it's also much more intense, as it's that of a mentor and its pupil. It sounds even incestual, although it must be noted that it probably isn't (it's a father figure, not the actual father), but due to the age difference it might have this connotation. Judgments aside, it's an interesting story, and not so uncommon in real life relationships. And NOT just gay ones either, so don't get all defensive.

  General Comment:here is what this song is about. i am living proof that this song has a meaning. i have a daddy. no he is not a sugar daddy or a father who gave birth to me. he is a man who is much older then i am and who is weirdly in love with me. i like when he calls me his baby and he loves me calling him daddy. this is the crime that our love is strange. i am only 5'3 110 pounds. i am from overseas. look sixteen at times but can look mature. and this daddy that i have is the only person that i need. he is my all and everything. however, he has had other lovers that have not been what he thought and wanted and perhaps i am the one. maybe not. but what this man is looking for is a girl, (legal age). who wants to be taken care of whether she is married to him or just a lover. he wants to be her daddy and yes, i have accepted being his baby, and as weird as it may sound, it is a love that will withstand time because it is honest and pure. people make think that it is a crime, but is there truly a crime when you love someone legally? so, its not about a man wanting a child. in fact daddy already has kids. its not about a man wanting to diaper a baby and or breastfeed. its about a man who wants this baby to only need him even if shes in hmm....lets say Flordia persay and hes in another state.....she will always call him and need him and no one else no matter how many lovers or men she has. but, i think towards the end, he may be stating that she doesnt want her to have any other lovers but him...i will let you know when daddy and i resolve our differences.....btw. you should really try the whole daddy baby thing if your love life is going sour....its hot and builds lust. btw, everyone get over the fact that george michael is crucifying gays or sugar daddies. this song is truly about a man who is in love and a love that is way different then any other love...so next time you are at home wondering why you have no sex life? maybe its because you put a limit on love?

  General Comment:Whenever I hear the beginning of this song (the synth organ) at the end of the song as well. It always invokes some ancient egyptian imagery. Can anyone else relate to this? Do you see images of pyramids and pharaohs when you hear the intro music to this song? The notes almost sound like a snake charmers song to me.
