This song is about how a guy really likes a chick and their relationship is like a rollercoaster, it has its high's and it has its lows. There are times when you want to be with them and 'lay beside' them, and there are time you want them to drive your car 'right off a fucking cliff'. it's a truthfull song about relationships and how they have their ups and downs.

i didn't really like this song when i first bought 'take off you pants and jacket' but after a while i fell in love w/ it. it has alotta meaning to me too. i went to a theme park w/ this guy i use to like, and this song reminds me of him.

anybody whose every had any kind of crush, relationship or whatever can realte to this song. it's about really loving/ liking someone, but you can never find any solid ground. it goes from thinking "man, this is the one" to "jesus, is this really worth it?" very great song with something that rings true for people of all kinds

I think that this girl likes the guy when none of her friends are around, but when they are around she acts like he's not the.. "Leave me standing here,act like I`m not around The coast will probably never clear,can I please go home now". I agree with what the rest of you said about the other parts.

god, its almost scary how much I can relate to this song. I used to like this guy and it was very much a rollercoaster with him. somtimes everything was wonderfull other times I wanted to kill him.
Once i went to an asument park with him, his favorite ride was this huge rollercoaster. We went on it a million times. god it makes me miss him.
GREAT song I love it.

alot of blink 182 songs are catchy. especially this one. what makes blink 182 so lovable is that they make you feel like you can relate. the song is so realistic

This song is about a shy guy who wants to ask out this one girl but is worried about what she will say. It gives an idea of what Mark Hoppus from blink-182 went through in high school with one of the popular girls: "Breathing deeply, walking backwards, finding strength to call and ask her. Roller Coaster, favorite ride, let me kiss you one last time." It's experiencing butterflies, and wishing to be with her one last time before graduation.

I love this song. I think that it's about loving someone but being too nervous and/or scared to do anything. Sometimes you hate yourself for your own insecurity, sometimes you blame them (for making you fall for them), but you're hooked on said person ultimately.
