Being faced with what I'm faced with I feel
Like I can't rock
Like a rock hit my heart
Started to chain the day
And exploded into pieces

Marry me
Stay the same
Lie to me and try to say you never will

I've got a feeling in my gut now fills me
With so much hope
Said fuck it I'm fine
Dine and dashed
The pianist peddled into morning

General Comment:It got kind of confusing, at the end I thought he was screaming "Mormon" and it didn't make any sense...

I love this song, and this band... Though they're getting a little too mainstream, this album was their best

General Comment:This is one of my favourite songs...

I guess this song is against relationships.

General Comment:i totally thought this song was about a broken relationship. when he says "lie to me and try to say you never will" i took it to mean that she lied to him when she said she never would--that she went back on her promise to marry him because she changed.... but then i realized it is the complete opposite, like a double negative... they are so sure of each other that he knows they will marry, and they will stay the same (in love), and it seems ridiculous that they would ever end up apart. i thought of it as kindof like a dare to lie to him and say she'll change and never marry him.

General Comment:The Used's self-titled album is one of my favorite albums of all time.
I despised In Love and Death, however; it just seemed completely incincere compared to the previous.
And as for the new album, I do enjoy it more than In Love and Death, but it really seems to lack substance. And I think Bert has (completely) forgotten how to write good lyrics by now.

General Comment:is it just me who noticed these are the exact same guitar chords used for Matchbook Romance's Your Stories, My Alibis? it even has similar lyrics in the chorus "Lie to me, give me something worth living for..."

    I just found it funny.

General Comment:one of the good songs by the used.
they usually suck, but some songs are exceptions, like "box of sharp objects"

General Comment:This song isn't about a woman... Bert is gay (or bi, so maybe, but he is dating a guy). :o

General Comment:people change, some times for the worse, you dont want them to. and when they change, you change. you cant function, you cant feel, your just hollow. almost hollow. you still have hope and faith that they love you enough to change back to who they were. you start living in the past of the good times you two shared and created together and beg them to be the same person you fell in love with. you beg them. the lies become contagious. you start lying to yourself. "fuck it i'm fine" "lie to me and try to say you never will" these are all lies that you make yourself believe so that you find some form of relief.

    relief from change.
