Loving you
Isn't the right thing to do
How can I ever change things
That I feel?

If I could
Baby, I'd give you my world
How can I
When you won't take it from me?

You can go your own way
Go your own way
You can call it
Another lonely day
You can go your own way
Go your own way

Tell me why
Everything turned around
Packing up
Shacking up is all you want to do

If I could
Baby, I'd give you my world
Open up
Everything's waiting for you

You can go your own way
Go your own way
You can call it
Another lonely day
You can go your own way
Go your own way

You can go your own way
Go your own way
You can call it
Another lonely day
Another lonely day
You can go your own way
Go your own way
You can call it
Another lonely day

You can go your own way
You can call it
Another lonely day
You can go your own way

I imagined this as a person in a relationship with/wanting someone who has low self-esteem or complains all the time. The singer is telling the one he loves that life is what they make of it.... you can either bitch and moan and "call it another lonely day," or you can go the other way and make the best of it. The singer is trying to convince her/him of this but the object of his affections won't listen or "take it from me". He doesn't understand why this person he is in love with won't open up or realize the great potential she/he has.
