    General Comment:This song has been neglected and under appreciated in the music world apparently. I wasn't around when it came out but was a teen when this accompanied the movie. I don't come across it everday but when I do, I always get goosebumps. Theres just something about it that touches you and will always affect you in a positive way. Towards the end, you may shed a tear but you'll always be smilling.

    My Interpretation:A song that's simply about wanting someone to stand by you through anything is just so beautiful. Every time the song comes on and I hear the beginning beat...it just has this way of taking me somewhere else. And if you've seen the movie, it becomes even more powerful.
    Definitely one of my favorite songs ever.

    General Comment:the simplest of words, have the biggest impact on me. This is by far one of my favourite songs. Bedouin Soundclash performed this at one of their gigs and it was absolutely beautiful!!!

    General Comment:I love this song, it's gotta be one of my all-time favs.
    Musixex I think you are right on the money.....it is about the end of the world.....the apocalypse. And how he fears nothing whilst the person he loves is by his side. I also believe it's his faith in god that keeps him fearless also.
    Not here to bible-bash people, but grab any bible and read "revelations" and you might interpret the lyrics like me as well.

    Either way great song and no cover comes near the original by Ben E. King.

    General Comment:It's about the end of the world...and I think this is the best song ever written. The second is "Have You Ever Seen the Rain", also about the end of the world (in my humple opinion of course)

    General Comment:I know im obsessed haha. But I really do love this movie. wow I have loged on to this website in about a year. BUt i will comment it again. BEST MOVIE, BEST SONG ( i actually didn;t like the book too much, but thats ok stephn king is still a genius) BEST EVRYTHING! I know everything about it and i still find something knew everytime i watch it.

    Teddy duchamps army huh? i will have too check it out. My fav charactor is chris. I love um all though

    General Comment:Haha :) River Depp, you're just slightly obsessed, but I want to tell you that I love the movie too (and this song of course). So much. Maybe more than you do ;) it makes me believe in innocence again and that's quite achievement these days. so much evil things in the world. And I love River Phoenix too. He was probably a saint. Maybe still is who knows if angels exist. I have like a huge respect for him and his example encouraged me to go from vegetarian to vegan. so yeah.. rip River. The movie is fucking classic. No one have ever made movie that good and no one EVER will. I've seen it... 13 times now, I think. not that much really. I could and I will continue watching it as long as I live :) Stand By Me for fuckin' ever!!!!!

    Oh and Teddy Duchamp also rules. Best character in the movie, in my opinion. He's so disturped... And I love the book too. The movie version is actually surprisingly loyal to the book...

    Hey, did you people know that there's a band called Teddy Duchamp's army :) Haha. was about time to that guy get an army of his own, huh?
