    General Comment:It's the song that always reminds me of a dear friend who's now in heaven. I'm always reminded of those last precious moments we shared when I hear the song. It's sad but so beautiful at the same time.

    Song Meaning:The song was originally written by an irish man. Him and his wife had a child however it died soon after. This is why he is now "loving angels instead" However through the pain his wife will always support him and provide support for him despite their loss. He also knows that even as he progresses through life he wont break and he will always have her there while he carries on loving his angel.

    General Comment:Comparing Robbie to Nirvana, Oasis, Muse, etc. is like comparing oranges to apples. Just get over it! I am personally a fan of all those bands, but I also love Robbie Williams. It's so immature to come on here and hate on an artist. Why don't you go comment on your beloved bands instead of wasting your time here.

    This is absolutely one of the best songs of all time.

    General Comment:is this song not about unconditional love, apparently he wrote it for his mother..

    this song is by far my all time favourite song..ever since i can remember and i just fail to find another that makes me feel the same way i feel when i listen to this.

    General Comment:To me, its about when love has died (when someone has left you basically) and you turn to religion or spiritual guidance to ease the pain.

    And also, this divine love is the true one, who doesn't forsake you.

    A sad song really.

    General Comment:I think this song refers to a desperate person's source of alleviation from the pain of losing anyone or anything they love. And the angel is a reference to heroine. Verse two refers to the euphoria that the 'angel' gives him/her. And the words "when i come to call" is when he/she jacks themselves up for a fix, "i know she won't forsake me" means that the drug will reliably release him/her from his/her deamons with the inference that it doesn't matter if the experience actually kills him/her.
