Its about love that cannot be, man likes girl, girl is with another man, but cant deny the feelings she has for the other.
The only way you can connect with the lyrics is if you've been there, and trust me it sucks to be there.
Don't know whether to fight for it, or back off and leave it to the fate. And not like the feelings are unrequited (damn a whole different story for another time) its just that you don't know where you stand, and how you both can be together.
