  General Comment:Of all of their songs,I've never been into this one.Possibly because the tempo is so incredibly slow.Lyrical content is-ye olde standby;'love on the rocks' deal.Which seriously I'd prefer to listen to their first album over this song any day of the week.

  General Comment:This song is the true to life relationship I've lived and tried way too hard in. It's the suffering of a one sided relationship. Some of us can see that this bad thing that's going to happen with such a partner, but we are caught up in the physical and mental swells of passion not love.

  Song Meaning:This song in essence screams woman in an, perhaps, unhappy relationship who is cheating and torturing the poor soul of the mean she's cheating with. He knows she has someone else but he wants her all to himself, and doesn't want "love" on her terms, where she can break the relationship on a whim. He wants all of her but can't have her, hence "love bites", although he still craves it. He doesn't want to make love to her, much less touch her, for fear of falling for her more, only in turn, to be shut down by her when she sees fit.   The man wants to love...desires to love her. But he realizes she doesnt know what love is. So making love to her breaks him "Love Bites, Love Bleeds" because he knows its a one way street, because she doesnt know how to love - she maybe just wants the physicalness "Are you wild 'n' willin' or is it just for show?".

  General Comment:(it reminds me of the line "i wanna love you but i'd better not touch" (Poison, Alice Cooper)!!)
  
  my favourite line is

  'Cos making love to you might drive me crazy"
  
  the song is about knowing that the other person wants you back, and you want him so bad, but you know he's a player(or immature and uncapable to commit) , and probably he's going to break your heart(again!). and the fact that you know he wants you too, makes it more difficult. even if you give in for a night it's going to mean too much for you and you'll fall deaper for him.
  
  as a result, you sit around and do nothing, so the other person ends up with someone else and that leaves you wondering whether he's happy with his relationship or is he still thinking about you.
  
  also, the lines
  "I know you think that love is the way you make it
  So I don't wanna be there when you decide to break it"
  point out the fear of going back to the same road. when he decides he got bored of you, he will call it off, but it was all about satisfaction for him, but feelings for you.

  General Comment:I honestly think that song is really about Mistrust in a relationship. He loves this girl but he realizes that she isnt exclusive to him and it makes him feel like he's not so special. "I don't wanna touch you too much baby, 'Cos making love to you might drive me crazy" He's saying he doesnt want to get too involved for fear of becoming attached to someone who is unfaithful."So I don't wanna be there when you decide to break it" .....He knows he is going to get hurt in the end and so he is setting limits on how close they will get.
