So you're looking for another band
Already planned and
You're lookin' for another ace
For me to rock him in the face
Cause the full moon's risin'
Over a black horizon
This time baptisin'

Nothing changes if nothing changes
They're just label whores and I can take no more

Grass is always greener on the other side
Go run and hide, boy
Leave you feelin' for another taste
So we can rock this fuckin' place
Cause the sky is fallin'
And I'm far from stallin' out
Evolution calling

Nothing changes if nothing changes
Yeah, they're just label whores
And silence rages more

He's gone
So you're looking for another plan now
He's down
So you're looking for another man now
One more zero
Nothing changes if nothing changes
Nothing changes if nothing changes
They're just label whores and I can take no more
So what
Fuck

General Comment:For some reason... I keep thinking "Josh Ruffneck" is some big old flappy headed muppet.. (maybe a record exec as well?) and this song is all about thre band ripping him a new one for demanding they be something they aren't.. it'd make a great video.. especially the part where the lead singer laughs at the "muppet" (Young punk! Remember, Josh Ruffneck! HEHEHEH)..

    all around great song.

General Comment:i think this song is talking about how bands "sell out" and change to satisfy others. this song is a mission statement of sorts saying unwritten law isn't about that and isn't one of the label whore bands.

my fav. line of this song is 'nothing changes if nothing changes.' this line is so wonderfully ambiguous and has a wide variety of intepretations. my personal take on it is that in order to evolve, you need to change. change your life, change your habits, change everything. if you don't do anything differently, then nothing will change and you will be at a stand still.

life is all about evolving and adapting, something ul has clearly done as evident by their discography. each album has a different sound and subject matter. this, my friends, is why ul owns you

General Comment:I think that the song is saying that some record companies are just trying to make money, switching between different bands. They're saying that the old bands that were good are still good too and that "nothing changes if nothing changes." You have to stay loyal to your people. Awesome song, I love these guys. Great music in this one.
