Please, please tell me now
Please, please tell me now
Please, please tell me now
Please, please tell me now

I made a run, I run out yesterday
Tried to find my mountain hideaway
Maybe next year, maybe no go

I know you're watching me every minute of the day, yeah
I've seen the signs and the looks and pictures
That give your game away, yeah

There's a dream that strings the road
With broken glass for us to hold
And I cut so far before I had to say

Please, please tell me now
Is there something I should know?
Is there something I should say?
That would make you come my way
Do you feel the same 'cause you don't let it show (ooh)

People stare and cross the road from me
And jungle drums they all clear the way for me
Can you read my mind, can you see in the snow
And fiery demons all dance when you walk through that door
Don't say you're easy on me, you're about as easy as a nuclear war

There's a dream that strings the road
With broken glass for us to hold
And I cut so far before I had to say

Please, please tell me now
Is there something I should know?
Is there something I should say?
That would make you come my way
Do you feel the same 'cause you don't let it show

Please, please tell me now
Is there something I should know? (please, please tell me now)
Is there something I should say? (please, please tell me now)
That would make you come my way (please, please tell me now)

Please, please tell me now
Can you see what makes me blow? (please, please tell me now)
Can you see how much I die? (please, please tell me now)
Every time it passes by (please, please tell me now)

Please, please tell me now
What it takes to make you show (please, please tell me now)
Is there something I should know? (please, please tell me now)
Is there something I should say? (please, please tell me now)

These lyrics are so wrong, it's frightening.

The song is clearly directed toward a divine being. I actually didn't figure that out until seeing the video so the video clued me in. But then it was obvious. The lines "There's a dream that strings the road, with broken glass for US to hold" and "And fiery demons all dance when you walk through that door". And "I know you're watching me every minute of the day, I've seen the signs..." and "Can you read my mind can you see in the snow". I personally think the red ball stands for knowledge. I don't know why I think that but I do.

this song is either about searching for the meaning to faith in something or getting a clue that you need to "s$#T or get off the pot" in a relationship. I lean toward the latter because "don't say you're easy on me, because you're about as easy as a nuclear war" sounds like he's frustrated with a relationship

At the time when it came out, within the video, and even more so nowadays, I always thought it was about living under surveillance. Not a paranoid person, but someone who has come to accept it as a fact of life and sees the folks watching him as a kind of a friendly anonymous acquaintance. He wonders what their intentions are and would like to be advised on what would please them. The lyrics seem to address what we are feeling at some point in our lives; as if we are living in a prison, and for everywhere we go, it's really just an illusion.

I love this song. Great video too. Kinda Alice In Wonderlandish. The instrumental break reminds me of the theme from the movie Heathers.

The lyrics of the song seem to indicate either he is thinking about breaking up with someone or commiting suicide.

But I have no idea what the video is all about, the black and white clips just freak me out, and I don't know why a kid is chasing around a red ball, or why the band is singing towards a light.

All of their other videos seemed to have a theme or tell a story this seems like it came out of a dream or something.

Cannot believe nobody's commented on the following line: "There's a dream that strings the road of broken glass for us to hold." It has to do with a wedding/a marriage.... a "string" ties people together, and the broken glass references the way a Jewish couple would stomp on whatever they stomp on once the Rabbi announces they're married. "For us to hold" references "to have and to hold until death do us part." "You're about an easy as a nuclear war" should become a line on the cover of a Hallmark card. I love it!

Son Şansın - Şarkı Sözleri
Hayalperest
This song seemingly tackles the methods of deception those who manipulate others use to get victims to follow their demands, as well as diverting attention away from important issues. They'll also use it as a means to convince people to hate or kill others by pretending acts of terrorism were committed by the enemy when the acts themselves were done by the masters of control to promote discrimination and hate. It also reinforces the idea that these manipulative forces operate in various locations, infiltrating everyday life without detection, and propagate any and everywhere. In general, it highlights the danger of hidden agendas, manipulation, and distraction, serving as a critique of those who exploit chaos and confusion to control and gain power, depicting a cautionary tale against falling into their traps. It encourages us to question the narratives presented to us and remain vigilant against manipulation in various parts of society.

Page
Ed Sheeran
There aren’t many things that’ll hurt more than giving love a chance against your better judgement only to have your heart crushed yet again. Ed Sheeran tells such a story on “Page.” On this track, he is devastated to have lost his lover and even more saddened by the feeling that he may never move on from this.

Plastic Bag
Ed Sheeran
“Plastic Bag” is a song about searching for an escape from personal problems and hoping to find it in the lively atmosphere of a Saturday night party. Ed Sheeran tells the story of his friend and the myriad of troubles he is going through. Unable to find any solutions, this friend seeks a last resort in a party and the vanity that comes with it. “I overthink and have trouble sleepin’ / All purpose gone and don’t have a reason / And there’s no doctor to stop this bleedin’ / So I left home and jumped in the deep end,” Ed Sheeran sings in verse one. He continues by adding that this person is feeling the weight of having disappointed his father and doesn’t have any friends to rely on in this difficult moment. In the second verse, Ed sings about the role of grief in his friend’s plight and his dwindling faith in prayer. “Saturday night is givin’ me a reason to rely on the strobe lights / The lifeline of a promise in a shot glass, and I’ll take that / If you’re givin’ out love from a plastic bag,” Ed sings on the chorus, as his friend turns to new vices in hopes of feeling better.
