I was talking to Andrew after the May 17 show at club Krome in NJ...and he said this song is about their tour from the year before. When the song says "caught a train to Poughkeepsie"...that was the show after the club Krome show.

i live in poughkeepsie, i was at that SC show, they played with the getaway, i talked to andrew during the show about the SC thongs, he was quite happy about them lol, he's a cool guy

OK so is this song about how he liked touring? Because the girl with the tatoos, he would tatoo his body with all the homes he's loved, and it would fill his whole body, so does that mean that he has loved eery place that he's been to?
Also I've never been so lost, i've never felt so much at home.
He's lost yet he still feels at home.
Yet while he loves touring he misses his girlfriens. He would tour all the time if she wasn't at home waiting for him.

i love the "mississippi on her knees" line. i dont know what it means thought, im guessing that its a refrence to the river and "on her knees" seems like some kind of voneralibility thing, but i cant put it together...can anyone help me out?

i go to school in poughkeepsie and i can't believe i missed SoCo by a few weeks, this upsets me tremendously, i'll see em this year at warped, but it just won't be the same as at a place like the chance

I love this song! A couple of my friends and I were on tour but I'm not in the band so when I came back home to get a "normal" summer job and they continued on, I listened to this song over and over. It's a great road trip song.

this song is good. a lot of the new cd is harder than the stuff on audio boxer but they still have that remarkable sound that is definately something corporate. to me this song is kinda about his experiences traveling the country on tour or whatever. he's saying (in my opinion) that he's seeing the country or maybe the world and he's feeling homesick but at the same time he's loving every minute of it. like the experience is something that he'll never forget-- something that was meant to happen. he was meant to be a rock star and he was meant for the road.

I can't get enough of this song! I listen to it over and over. it's great to sing along with. I love the line "traced away the fog so I could see the mississippi on her knees" too. don't get it but love it anyways!

ok i dont want to degrade this song in away way. its a great song that i like. but for some reason when he says "here i am" he sounds like, im gonna kick my own ass for sayin this, but ricky martin in that one song that he had, the slow one. but other than that this song kicks ass
