Jello doesn't think the US government sucks either, it's the people he dislikes.

"Bleed For Me" basically describes how we take away the rights of the accused simply because they're accused. Guilty until proven innocent.

noleegurl really over-smiplified what DK songs mean. Most of them are politicial, sure, but generalizing like that just glosses over the individual meanings, a lot of which are really important. And anyway, their songs usually have more to do with society as a whole than just politics. Check out Terminal Preppie, Well Paid Scientist, Insight, I Fought The Law, Nazi Punks Fuck Off, Moral Majority, Trust your Mechanic, Religious Vomit................ for examples.

This song is about the Nicaraguan Contras and other criminal groups that the US funded to take out governments, democratically elected or not, that we opposed for whatever reason (usually allied with the Soviets).

Cowboy Ronnie is Righ Wing American President Ronald Regan, who was in power during the time of Plastic Surgery Disasters (the album featuring Bleed for Me). He was a former actor in Western films.
Thus I've always figured it was to do with his warmongering ways, america's 'unofficial' buisiness in thrid world countries and less than savoury activites involving sercret services and people he considered threats...

In the recording I have Jello says 'when Mrs Carter comes to town, she comes to check on human rights. We herd to our favorite spot [and get her] infectious smile for the camera...' instead of Cowboy Ronnie etc etc. also it says 'san antonio' instead of fort bragg.
It is also a live version where Jello says in the intro:
'Lets go on a trip with mum and dad in the car, down to scenic Argentina. One wrong move and away you go. They'll melt you, burn you, shoot you, bury you for opening your mouth, and they learned it all from the United States Marines. There's no Punk Rock in Argentina. Theres no Punk Rock in Afghanistan, Russia, Czekoslovakia, Iran, Nebraska. If you dont keep your eyes open there wont be anything like that here either. You'll be forced to buy, by skinny tie wearing [..?..] and pop fans. [Oh how] rock n' roll. You'll do it'.
This is on my copy of the plastic surgery/in god double album. Is this on all these albums or do I have some kind of rarity???
