Everybody knows...but no one's saying nothing

And it's a sound so very loud...that no one can hear?

I got something in my shoes...It's keeping me from walking

Down the long and winding road...back home to you

And round this town you've ceased to be

That's what you got for sleeping with the enemy

Where angels fly you won't play

So guess who's gonna take the blame for...

My Big Mouth my big name

Who'll put on my shoes while they're walking

Slowly down the hall of fame?

Into my big mouth, you can fly a plane

Who'll put on my shoes while they're walking

Slowly down the hall of fame?

Slowly down the hall of fame?

I ain't never spoke to God

And I ain't never been to heaven

But you assumed I knew the way

Even though the map was given

And as you look into the eyes

Of a bloody cold assassin

Only then you realise

With who's life you have been messin'

General Comment:Oasis got the inspiration for this song from The Smiths' song, "Bigmouth Strikes Again."

My Interpretation:i think this songs about sell outs..
'where angels fly you dont play' - shame of disloyalty to image
the hall of fame lyrics suggests that oasis have stuck to their true beliefs and have never compromised their image and this hall of fame is their distinction.
'around this town you ceased to be... That's what you got for sleeping with the enemy' - sell outs forgotten possibly ... sleeping with the enemy being disloyal?
it could be about rumours... but there is evidence to suggest its about sellouts

General Comment:first impression - about spreading rumours.

then thought it could be about the press and media, how they spread the rumours about the band

General Comment:Be Here Now is a great album. At times a little long but the music is very good. Little more bass maybe for the songs.

But this song is just about how someone spread a rumor and destroyed somebody else's life, reputation?

General Comment:Oasis - "My Big Mouth" Be Here Now. Critically blasted for the past several years this album had more than a few gems on it and should be remembered as THE epitome of a coke album. How much blow would the band have needed to make this song and it's 26 tracks of squealing, stuttering, distorted, twisted, overdriven, vulgar guitars? Fucking feedbags of it hoovered straight to the dome. This band made me see that it was an acceptable goal in life to make the world and everyone in it my bitch.

I am a huge poetry fan...these are lines from an Emily Dickinson Poem...I am not sure which one..and they are not the exact words but you get the idea...i thought that was cool..it was kinda giving tribute to Emily..that rocks.

General Comment:Liam&Noel say..My Big Mouth- "Even I'm not interested in what I've got to say half the time. But 'I aint never spoke to God, and I ain´t never been to heaven´ - that´s about fans who think you´re on the phone to John Lennon and you have all the answers."
