Come into these arms again
And lay your body down
The rhythm of this trembling heart
Is beating like a drum

It beats for you, it bleeds for you
It know not how it sound
For it is the drum of drums
It is the song of songs

Once I had rarest rose
That ever deigned to bloom.
Cruel winter chilled the bud
And stole my flower too soon.

Oh loneliness, oh hopelessness
To search the ends of time
For there is in all the world
No greater love than mine.

Love, oh love, oh love
Still falls the rain (still falls the rain)
Love, oh love, oh, love
Still falls the night
Love, oh love, oh love
Be mine forever (be mine forever)
Love, oh love, oh love

Let me be the only one
To keep you from the cold
Now the floor of heaven's lain
With stars of brightest gold

They shine for you, they shine for you
They burn for all to see
Come into these arms again
And set this spirit free

General Comment:My partner and I lost our son, he was born too soon and his lungs had not developed enough for him to be able to breath; so he was born and then died. We buried our son. My partner (Danyeil) cried her heart out for weeks/months, she was devastated, but I could not cry, I could not grieve, I could not accept what had happened... One night I stayed up to watch the Dracula film and this song was on at the end, I fell to the floor crying, I cried like a baby, a grown man crying on the floor like iv'e never cried before! After that I began to come to terms with what had happened and was able to move on.... Thanks for reading my story. Ryan.

Memory:This song is about a person(actually Dracula)who lost someone they were desperately in love with. In my head, it sounds like a song that you would commit suicide to.

    "come into these arms again
    and set this spirit free..."

Those last words sound very suicidal to me. It's a very sad song, and I've cried many a time to it. I lost someone who I was in love with two years ago, and for about two months, I had quit my job and did nothing but listen to this song laying in my bead sobbing. It really got me through it.

Memory:I walked down the aisle to this on our wedding day. It worked so well. Only problem was that we didnt dare tell the parents the name of it. We just lied and said we didnt know,it was a song from a film. As my husbands dad is a vicar we didnt think he would have been happy to have a song with the word Vampire in the title played in church.

General Comment:I think it says 'ever deigned to bloom', not 'everyday did bloom'.

General Comment:This song for me is about a love you have for someone who is or is like a mother figure to you, Something you can't have, something that has gone or has died and you are left alone, searching and without. Its a horrible place to be.
