Lyrics for 304 Goushitsu, Hakushi No Sakura (Englis... as interpreted by Shinigami

304 Goushitsu, Hakushi No Sakura (Englis... Lyrics
Room 304, Room 304, Cherry Blossoms Of White Death

from the window the ever unchanging cherry blossoms
flutter flutter flutter flutter and dance in the breeze

today, too, my conciousness fades away
who are you? I cannot remember anything
my tears overflowed and fell
onto your hand clutching mine reassuringly

your unending stream of tears told me something
for some reason the scent of you brings memories...
surely I will lose my life all alone, in this room
these flowers that no-one can find...

the flowers fall quickly, swaying in the breeze this white hospital room blows with the breeze

the pain building up day by day
you held my thinning, ugly body close to you

at my time of death, there's one special person I remembered
tomorrow I'll become ashes, return to dust
from the window I can see the cherry blossoms beneath those cherry blossoms I want to sleep
wrapped in warmth in your hand....
they carry me quietly from room 304
so that I will never forget you

from here on, I sway in the breeze, together with the cherry blossoms, remembering you

fluttering fluttering
fluttering fluttering

Nobody commented on this?! geez. Just reading the lyrics I want to tear up. The Song is a bit quieter than the other ones, but it still sounds just like them. Love this song!! "from here on, I sway in the breeze, together with the cherry blossoms, remembering you"

I've heard multiple theories on this song. Some think that the character has amnesia, but I stick to the idea that he's gone insane.
Also, what IS Kyo's obsession with 'room 304'? There's this song, and multiple poems he's written with it in the title. I was thinking maybe there was a meaning in the numbers.. I tried to do a little analyzing of it, but I honestly don't know enough Japanese to come to an explanation. Anyone else care to shed a little light on it..?

this song is beautiful, but sad, too. i think the "304" might have meaning because 3+0+4=7. 7 is an important number, right?

The number 7 is supposed to be the number of perfection that is all that i know about it

I think Kyo uses 304 as a code. 3 is half of 6, the western number of the devil. 4 is associated with death in Japan since the other way you could pronounce 4 is "san" which also means death. That's why they skip room 4 a lot in hospital buildings.

this is some of what i think... maybe is wrong... anyway, in japan there's a legend of the "red sakura" that says, the sakura was only white, so, a king during a war, given the order to put all the dead bodies down the sakura trees, and the blood of the dead people turn the white sakura, into pink.
So now, the relation is "...beneath those cherry blossoms I want to sleep..." its related to this legend... and with this, i can understand that "he" wants to be down a sakura, grow with it, watch the 304 room, and all of the things the song say.... or not? =S....

anyway, its only a guess ^^

aww thx maxjaker I finally get the title now!
I think this song is what happens after "304 goushitsu, haha to sakura", which is what happened after "304 goushitsu, shita to yoru", cuz in the first one somebody says "you are carried from the hospital room, your eyes unopeneing", and in the latter the boy(same protagonist as this song) talks about killing himself.... So yeah, I think they are all connected. Well that's just what I think anyway. And just in case I get sued, I found the poem line from Tattered Clothes^^

hmm...the lyrics remind me of the book I am writing. It's about a man who is locked away an insane asylum and only holds one person close to him. He fears he will die in his room alone too. The man just usually stares out the barred window in his room to look at the orange trees that were planted outside his window. He has a pet spider name jack who is invisble but that's not in the lyrics any where... XD

but anyways..I thought it was weird that both fictional people hold one person and outside freedom close to them. The cerry blossom tree is a symbol of beauty they'll never be able to experience because they'll never be free. They want to be apart of the world.

Oh, yes! If you are wondering, no, I did not get the idea for my book's plot line out of these song lyrics :3

although..they are rather close...

AHH! DIR EN GREY COPY RIGHTED ME!!

XD haha

hmmm...just kiddin that be weird.

I don't know, but 304 stood out like a hospital room number to me. Perhaps thats what the purpose of it was, but it was a fictional number based off of the previously mentioned theories. I'm just looking at it simply, what with the first two lines of the song (translated and assumingly translated correctly) reading "room 304, room 304..."

It just seems like this song as about somebody on their death bed in a hospital and they can only remember the one person sitting next to them, holding on to their hand as they pass from this world to the next.

^at least thats what i got out of it.

hey, theres two other songs with similar titles, whose lyrics dont match up with the japanese version of this, 304 Goushitsou Haha To Sakura and 304 Goushitsou Shita To Yoru. the album they were on was called Daisan Teikoku Gakudan, and if im correct the album is only available through filesharing, or purchased with one of Kyo's poem books, which are like $200 on ebay... anyways, my point is, where would i find the translations to these two similarly-titled songs?

Beautiful song. To find the translations of the 2 Room 304 poems(i think the song as well)try the Dir En Grey shrine, Tsukiyo.
