One should never look to deep into frank zappa's music, i think. who the hell knows what was going through his mind when the song was written? there was so much controversy about he and his badn taking nothing seriously, so theres a good chance that its just a bunch of bullshit that sounds good and is funny. i love frank zappa's music very much though...a fan-fuckin-tastic composer, he was. and beautiful too :)

Keep in mind around '78 or so was a completely tasteless period in Zappa's discography. The statements are more just meant to be humorous rather than biting like in early Mothers music. Look at Jewish Princess or Broken Hearts Are for Assholes from the same album (Sheik Yerbouti) and you'll see what I mean.

Someone mentioned him being a goody, goody, that's farthest from the truth. It's basically, the rich jock that can get away with anything (even rape) because he's the love of the town, American Dream if you will. (I used to date a girl who had a bf in hs like this, who beat the crap out of her all the time, and her mom even told her to get over with because of who he was-messed up!-she still can't have a real relationship) This people usually tend to be really stupid (and peak to early), so when they get out into the real world, they get in for a shock; Baller's comment take it from there.

The meaning of this song was nailed early on, definitely. It was a very tasteless time for Zappa, when he was definitely more concerned with being juvenile over anything else. It's anti-feminist, but to be honest, I don't blame Zappa for this. Around the time of the song, the movement was still strong and also increasingly militant, regardless of the fact that by now many of their main goals had been achieved.

The song is definitely funny, but very tasteless.
