Where is the person that could have been
Who, what took over, when did the end begin
Should we not prepare
For the uncertain
Mysteries of our life
Of our destiny
See things that are not there
Intruding voices
What went wrong to their
Picture perfect life
They once knew
Flattening of emotions
A mind shared by an uninvited stranger
Which comes and goes as choose to appear
Should we not prepare
For the uncertain
Mysteries of our life
Of our destiny
See things that are not there
Intruding voices
What went wrong to their
Picture perfect life
They once knew
Flattening of emotions
Should we not prepare
For the uncertain
Mysteries of our life
Of our destiny
See things that are not there
Intruding voices
What went wrong to their
Picture perfect life
They once knew
Flattening of emotions
Who, what took over, when did the end begin
Should we not prepare
For the uncertain
Mysteries of our life
Of our destiny
See things that are not there
Intruding voices
What went wrong to their
Picture perfect life
They once knew
Flattening of emotions
A mind shared by an uninvited stranger
Which comes and goes as choose to appear
Should we not prepare
For the uncertain
Mysteries of our life
Of our destiny
See things that are not there
Intruding voices
What went wrong to their
Picture perfect life
They once knew
Flattening of emotions
Should we not prepare
For the uncertain
Mysteries of our life
Of our destiny
See things that are not there
Intruding voices
What went wrong to their
Picture perfect life
They once knew
Flattening of emotions

This song is about a typewriter that enjoys the solid beats of DJ Aphex Twin. He buys the album at a record shop and slowly loses his mind behind those crazy sounds. Eventually he decides to reverse the whole album and release it as his own work. This works very well and gets him on the Radio One playlist. When a minister points out that technically a typewriter has no hold over copyright stakes the typewriter loses all profit made from the single. The money goes instead to a small child in Harrogate who happened to have the same name as the typewriter.
