Lyrics for (She's Got the) Devil in Her Heart as interpreted by ruben

(She's Got the) Devil in Her Heart Lyrics
She's got the devil in her heart
But her eyes, they tantalize
She's going to tear your heart apart
Oh, her lips they really thrill me

I'll take my chances
For romance is
So important to me
She'll never hurt me
She won't desert me
She's an angel sent to me

She's got the devil in her heart
No, no, this I can't believe
She's going to tear your heart apart
No, no, nay will she deceive

I can't believe that she'll ever ever go
Not when she hugs and says she loves me so
She'll never hurt me
She won't desert me
Listen, can't you see?

She's got the devil in her heart
Oh, no, no, no, this I can't believe
She's going to tear your heart apart
No, no, nay will she deceive

Don't take chances if your romance is
So important to you
She'll never hurt me
She won't desert me
She's an angel sent to me

She's got the devil in her heart
Oh no, no, no, no, this I can't believe
She's going to tear your heart apart
No, no, nay will she deceive

She's got the devil in her heart
No, she's an angel sent to me
She's got the devil in her heart
No, she's an angel sent to me

Amongst others, this was on The Beatles' fifth album, which was called "The Beatles' Second Album". Tee-hee-hee. Five of the tracks on this album were on WTB.

Originally recorded by The Donays (an American girl group); The Beatles changed the lyrics.

George wasn't capable of writing anything worthwhile that would be acceptable by John or Paul at the time. This cover tune was "Beatle-ized" and turned into an nice little enjoyable rock n roll throw-away.

this is obviously about the Beatles failure to accept other peoples religious beliefs

I believe the title is just "Devil In Her Heart", but I could be wrong. And, taking the song at face value, it's about a girl who's...devlish in her dealings of men.

It seems to have been written like a conversation between a lovestruck man (blinded by love) and his friends (who know better; they know how the girl is). Like this:
Friends: She's got the devil in her heart
Man: But her eyes, they tantalize
Friends: She's going to tear your heart apart
Man: Oh, her lips they really thrill me

The bridges are the man's attempts to convice his friends that even though she was mischievous in her dealings before, it'll be different with him:
I'll take my chances
For romance is
So important to me
She'll never hurt me
She won't desert me
She's an angel sent to me [Angel contrasting with his friends calling her a devil]

I can't believe that she'll ever ever go [Denying her promiscuous ways]
Not when she hugs and says she loves me so [Clearly, she's playing mind games with him]
[And now the bridge's refrain] She'll never hurt me
She won't desert me
Listen, can't you see?

In the final bridge, the man's friends make one last attempt to convince him to not stay with him, but the man will still not listen, convinced that his woman is not a cheating [expletive removed]:
Friends:Don't take chances if your romance is
So important to you

Man: She'll never hurt me
She won't desert me
She's an angel sent to me
-----------
Also, for those who don't know, it's a cover of another song.
