I'm never gonna say the words
That you want
I'm never gonna feel the shame
Like you do
I'm never gonna stretch my shape
To be with you
I only need you for a day
'Cause I only want to be your

Saturday savior
I can be that
Saturday savior
I will be your
Saturday savior
I can be that impostor in your bed
Wake him up please

I'm never gonna make you feel
That you're satisfied
I'm never gonna feel your pain
Like you wish I would
I'm never gonna open up
More than this
I just want to be your
I just want to be your

I'm never gonna break apart
Quite like you
I'm never gonna long for life
The way you do
I'm never gonna push you out
'Cause your not in
This will only take a while
'Cause I only want to be your
Saturday savior

General Comment:I'm not one to make outrageous claims, that every damn song is inevitably about drugs, but if a dirty syringe of smack could talk to it's user, it's words would probably be identical to what Ken is singing. Honestly.

The whole song, every statement, is one mainly of indifference. The drug is indifferent, it just wants a bit of your time..

Perhaps the user finds comfort in the drug, obviously a "saturday savior", but it gives little more than a superficial physical high.. It's taking the place of a human relationship, when it cannot provide many of the things that such an arrangement naturally would.. Much like a "friend with benefits"..

"I'm never gonna make you feel
    That you're satisfied
I'm never gonna feel your pain
    Like you wish I would
    I'm never gonna open up
    More than this
I just want to be your
I just want to be your"

Pretty self explanatory. Perhaps the whole "imposter in your bed" is just referencing how the drugs transform this person into someone else.. He becomes the drug, personified.

    I'm never gonna break apart
    Quite like you
I'm never gonna long for life
    The way you do
I'm never gonna push you out
    'Cause your not in
This will only take a while
'Cause I only want to be your
    Saturday saviour

Another verse of indifference, much like the first two. The drug habit cannot feel for it's victim. The user may break down struggling to live, but the drug itself will continue to thrive.

Hopefully this actually makes as much sense to the rest of you as it does to me.. It actually fits much better than the whole "friends with benefits" sort of thing.

My Interpretation:My take: The narrator has decided to do heroin for the first time, and he keeps telling himself that's he's not gonna become addicted. In this song he's addressing a heroin addict, and keeps telling himself how he's "never gonna" end up like the junkie and let the drug take over his life. He believes that the drug will only be something he partakes in when he's got too much time on his hands, a "Saturday Savior".

My Interpretation:The first time i heard this song i felt like it was about him doing heroin with a female heroin addict at her house that he had some sort of connection to and then seems to want to do other things than just do heroin but she pulls him in. probably all inaccurate, but i like my interpretation. Actually, the girl could just be a representative of heroin after all.

General Comment:i feel like this is definitely about not wanting a relationship, and he's being a jerk about it. he doesn't need the girl, he doesn't want her any more than for her body (maybe he just plain doesn't want her any more).

General Comment:I think it's along the lines of what the second person said, only it's a little bit different.

Sounds to me like breakup sex. The narrator/singer/whatever is talking about having sex with someone who's just come out of a relationship. The person who's gotten out of the relationship feels shit, wants sex, and he's the person she's gone to. She seems to be wishing that he's her old partner/pretending he's her old partner. He seems to know this, and is kind of taking advantage of that.

"I'm never gonna say the words that you want me to" probably means the girl he's with (who thinks he's her old partner) is kind of hoping he/her old partner will say I love you, but of course, he's not, and won't.
"I only wanna be your Saturday Saviour" he knows this, but doesn't really care, he wants to have sex. Blatant? Perhaps.
"Impostor in your bed" refers to him sleeping with her, only she wants him to be somebody else (her former partner) thus him being the impostor.
"I'm never gonna make you feel that you're satisfied" He's not her partner, so she's not gonna be satisfied. Or at least not for long.
"I'm never gonna open up more than this" Well why should he? He's just the breakup sex person, and doesn't need to open up. They're not in a relationship.

Yeah...that's just my interpretation of it anyway.

General Comment:its funny how most failure songs seem like love songs at face value, but usually have a darker, morbid feel to it. except pro-catastrophe. that one's pretty upfront.

General Comment:It seems like it's denial. He's denying that he's addicted to drugs, most likely heroin. He's saying that it's not a part of him and he's pushing it away, but really, he's truly addicted.

General Comment:This song appears written about a relationship, or a fuck buddy, but the whole album is a concept album pertaining to drug addiction, I think this song is more along the lines of a heroine addiction, being his "saturday savior". What appears as though he is talking to another person can also be interpreted as a conversation with the drug. But it could go either way, that is just how I see it. Kind of like Stinkfist by Tool. The lyrics seem to imply fisting at first glance, but upon further interpretation the song appears about drug addiction.
