Demonic laughter
Your cremation
Your lungs gasp for air
But are filled with blood
A sudden crack as I crush your skull
A reminder of your life flashes by
A life that soon won't be
Smiling with the axe in my hand
Evil's rotten hand you'll see
I come forward
Deathcrush
I'll send you to your maker
I'll send you to your death
Death, nicely crucified
Death, heads on stakes
The barbecue has just begun
Deathcrush
Deathcrush
Crush...Crush
Deathcrush

General Comment:yeah, I miss their older non commercial sound. I honestly love the shitty recording quality. It's like a weird fetish.

General Comment:I always thought that it was Dead on vocals. I was wrong, Maniac is shit these days though.

General Comment:no you moron, it was not euronymous who wrote these lyrics, it was necrobutcher. the rest that kodos wrote is actually true, ive seen/read a few interviews where necrobutcher tells about it

General Comment:Idiot, Hellhammer didn't write these lyrics. He wasn't even in the band when they were written. These were written in '85 or '86, and he was in the band in '88. Euronymous wrote these, and this is really about... a maniacal blunt force slaughterfest.

General Comment:fucking brutal song. my jaw dropped when i first heard this song, it was fucking crazy. well i guess they're not called Mayhem for nothing.

i don't think its to hard to understand what the song is about.

maniac's voice is fucking raw, you can't even understand what the fuck he's saying even if you're reading the lyrics

General Comment:I read in an interview that, one night, Hellhammer kept thinking up song titles, and wrote them down really quick. The next morning, he found that virtually everything he had written was illegible. What he could read was used as the lyrics for this song.
