Fare thee well, little broken heart
Downcast eyes, lifetime loneliness
Whatever walks in my heart will walk alone
Constant longing for the perfect soul
Unwashed scenery forever gone
Whatever walks in my heart will walk alone
No love left in me
No eyes to see the heaven beside me
My time is yet to come
So I'll be forever yours
Whatever walks in my heart will walk alone
No love left in me
No eyes to see the heaven beside me
My time is yet to come
So I'll be forever yours
No love left in me
No eyes to see the heaven beside me
My time is yet to come
So I'll be forever yours
Whatever walks in my heart will walk alone
Downcast eyes, lifetime loneliness
Whatever walks in my heart will walk alone
Constant longing for the perfect soul
Unwashed scenery forever gone
Whatever walks in my heart will walk alone
No love left in me
No eyes to see the heaven beside me
My time is yet to come
So I'll be forever yours
Whatever walks in my heart will walk alone
No love left in me
No eyes to see the heaven beside me
My time is yet to come
So I'll be forever yours
No love left in me
No eyes to see the heaven beside me
My time is yet to come
So I'll be forever yours
Whatever walks in my heart will walk alone

Or something like that. xD
Fare thee well, little broken heart
(She's saying goodbye to her hurt feelings, and allowing herself to live on as she promised Jack)
Downcast eyes, lifetime loneliness
(But in her heart, she knows that she'll be alone as long as her life on earth remains)
Whatever walks in my heart will walk alone
(The love in her heart has to survive on its own)
Constant longing for the perfect soul
(She misses him desperately)
Unwashed scenery forever gone
(The imperfect perfection/unwashed scenery of her time with Jack can no longer be part of her life)
No love left in me
(No room to love anybody else)
No eyes to see the heaven beside me
(If there is true happiness and love waiting for her elsewhere, she is completely blind to it)
My time is yet to come
(Her death cannot arrive yet...she must wait for the day when she can join Jack in heaven)
So I'll be forever yours
(She'll never belong to anybody but Jack)
I'm not saying this is the ultimate definition or anything. But it's something to think about, no?
It speaks about her loyalty to a loved one who has probably broken her heart, but she chooses to remain true with her feelings towards this person. She would rather have him than open her heart to other persons who'd want to come into her heart.
Very sweet.
"No eyes to see the heaven beside me
My time is yet to come"
Even though she talks about heaven followed by a sentence related to death, I believe that by saying "beside me" she means that she can't see how wonderful life is. Heaven is just right there next to her but she doesn't see.
I'm currently in a relationship where I once knew what love was but not anymore, still I can't live without her even if all feelings inside me are all drained out I still belong to her because I don't know anything else besides my relation with her. Even though she might not be the "perfect soul" for me I'm hers...
I feel that's what the song is about, although all the other options are just as right.
So I'll be forever yours"
To me, this sound as if they will be together forever when his time comes, meaning - when he dies; if we suppose that she (to whom he wrote it) dyed.
IMO, I think its about a relationship that didnt work out & this person is saying that even if they are no longer together, theyre forever theirs.
