Yeah this one right here goes out to all the baby's mamas, mamas
Mamas, mamas, baby mamas, mamas
Yeah, go like this

[Chorus]
I'm sorry Ms. Jackson (oh), I am for real
Never meant to make your daughter cry
I apologize a trillion times
I'm sorry Ms. Jackson (oh), I am for real
Never meant to make your daughter cry
I apologize a trillion times

My baby's drama mama, don't like me
She be doing things like having them boys come from her neighborhood
To the studio trying to fight me
She need to get a, piece of the american pie and take her bite out
That's my house, I'll disconnect the cable and turn the lights out
And let her know her grandchild is a baby, and not a paycheck
Private school, daycare, shit medical bills I pay that
I love your mom and everything, but see I ain't the one who laid down
She wanna rib you up to start a custody war, my lawyers stay down
Shit you never got a chance to hear my side of the story we was divided
She had fish fries and cookouts for my child's birthday I ain't invited
Despite it, I show her the utmost respect when I fall through
All you, do is defend that lady when I call you, yeah

[Chorus]

Me and yo' daughter, got's this thing going on
(We got a special kind of thing going on)
You say it's puppy love
We say it's full grown
Hope that we feel this, feel this way forever
You can plan a pretty picnic
But you can't predict the weather, Ms. Jackson

Ten times out of nine, now if I'm lyin; fine
The quickest muzzle throw it on my mouth and I'll decline
King meets queen, then the puppy love thing, together dream
Bout that crib with the Goodyear swing
On the oak tree, I hope we feel like this forever
Forever, forever, ever, forever, ever?
Forever never seems that long until you're grown
And notice that the day by day ruler can't be too wrong
Ms. Jackson my intentions were good I wish I could
Become a magician to abacadabra all the sadder
Thoughts of me, thoughts of she, thoughts of he
Asking what happened to the feeling that her and me
Had, I pray so much about it need some knee, pads
It happened for a reason one can't be, mad
So know this, know that everything's cool
And yes I will be present on the first day of school, and graduation

[Chorus]

Uh, uh, yeah
"Look at the way he treats me"
Shit, look at the way you treat me
You see your little nosy-ass home girls
Done got your ass sent up the creek G
Without a paddle, you left to straddle
And ride this thing on out
Now you and your girl ain't speaking no more
Cause my dick all in her mouth
Know what I'm talking about? Jealousy, infidelity, envy
Cheating to beating, envy and to the G they be the same thing
So who you placing the blame on, you keep on singing the same song
Let bygones be bygones, you can go on and get the hell on
You and your mama

[Chorus: x2]

General Comment:It's amusing how discussions about rap music usually go down the troll lane, people showing their lowlife roots, insults between each and everyone...you rarely see that here on other more popular songs, rock songs or even metal. I guess some cliches are just true. I don't like rap, i don't like hip hop but this is one of only a few (very few) songs out of the genre i like. At least it's not a "Hey yo, my dick is 5 meters wide and i smoke dope everyday and i got all dis bitches and i got all them cars and i'm the biggest gangsta from teh hood" shit but actually a honest look down at how those niggas live with fucking their lives up. I like the honesty in it.

And the video is great with all the animals synchronized to the song.

General Comment:This is simply one of the strongest hip hop/rap songs ever, such a great table turning on a common problem (accidental pregnancy), and looking at it through the point of view of a guy who really wants to help raise the kid, or at least know him/her.

Catchy as hell besides, of course. It's always nice when deep meaning and awesome beats combine.

My Opinion:Lol.. I enjoy hearing the people say The Vines version is better.. So I will say this.. The Vines version is complete bullshit and has no place covering this song.. I have to to say this song is one of the epic songs in Rap/HipHop.. or whatever.. The Vines are a peice of shit band that have no place on this earth.. All coming from a person who likes 2 rap songs (this and Lady Venom by Swollen Members).. Im more of a black metal/death metal/melodeath type of guy 8P

General Comment:I an't believe some people came to burn this song just because of a horrible cover done by The Vines.
Look, I love rock, rap & hiphop (while it was good), and a majority of other genres.
I can say that the Vines thoroughly suck unless you're into that whole 'monotomous generic sound dumbing down Fray-like' quality about them. I lvoe the Fray, even if they sound the same in all their songs...
    But The Vines? the hell?
I wish there was a better rock cover of this song...

Anyway, please, if you're hating on this song, you don't understand it. Please...It's about a relationship. it's hard to find any hiphop or rap like this nowadays anymore...

I know you hear that shit today, but the old stuff is so much better. Just, give it a try. Try Bombs Over Baghdad. And I know a majority of ppl love BEP with Andre in it.

General Comment:i agree with princeofgrime, stop arguing, music is be enjoyed and it's very upsetting to see people hating a song coz it's this genre or that genre.
hu gives a damn, wat matters is the music and lyrics itself or if u enjoy or feel connected to the song, not the genre it is.
people should stop judging other people and other genres and start looking around, where did this music that we listen to now come from? they all came from the same place, and artist do covers of songs because they admire a song, so if the vines can admire outkast's song, y can't everyone else? and outkast let them do a cover coz they no the vines will do it justice, so y dont u give the vines a chance?
music should bring people closer not tear us apart. i find it stupid how people can agrue about sumthing so insignifcant! (sorry but this war over genre especially rock and urban has jus gone on for far enough for me, it annoys me that i can't show people my music because they have presumtions bout it and it's all because of u shallow people that CANT enjoy and appreciate MUSIC AS A WHOLE!)
