  General Comment:Love Love Love this song. I could listen to it every day for the rest of my life and never tire. What a voice she had before drugs affected it. She was tops at one time, and rightfully so.

  General Comment:rupert captured the meaning, unfortunately. This song is so energetic. It was huge in the dance clubs of the 80's. Everyone would rush to the floor to dance to it. There was always an energy in Whitney's voice/songs. It just seemed to weave through the heart and body and make the legs wanna move:)

    The song, like many of hers, was so well suited for her vocal range. She had a very special voice until her not-so-good behavior strained her vocal chords. This song brings back the exceptional singer of so long ago...and, yes, I wanna dance with somebody vertically; horizontally; diagonally; and even caddy-cornered:)

  General Comment:Definitely from one of the best era's in music - the 80's! I think that from the lyric 'I wanna dance with somebody', it could possibly mean that she wants to be happy, rejoice and forget her worries - if that someone would just love her. Great song, love Whitney! Xx

  General Comment:my friend kaitlin sang this song for our black history month assembly today and she totally rocked it. it was the best i've ever seen a white girl sing whitney. i actually never have seen a white girl sing whitney houston...but it was still amazing. hehe.
