Mmh, I'm an orange moon
I'm an orange moon
Reflecting the light of the sun

Ah, aah aah, ah, aah aah
Many nights he was alone
Many, many, many nights
His light was too bright so they turned away
And he stood alone
Every night and every day
Then he turned to me
He saw his reflection in me
And he smiled at me, when he turned to me
Then he said to me

How good it is, how good it is
How good it is, how good it is

Ah, aah aah, ah, aah aah
I'm an orange moon
I'm brighter than before
Brighter than ever before
I'm an orange moon and I shine so bright
'Cause I reflect the light of my sun, ooh
I praise the day, he turned my way
And smiled at me
He, gets to smile and I get to be orange, da da da do dee

How good it is, how good it is
How good it is, how good it is
How good it is, how good it is
How good it is, how good it is

(Oh) shine so bright
(Oh) he ruled the day, I ruled the night (oh)
Shine, shine, shine (Oh)

How good it is, how good it is
How good it is, how good it is
How good it is, how good it is
How good he is, how God he is
How good it is, how good it is
How good it is, how God he is
How good it is, how good it is
How good he is, how God he is
How good it is, how good it is

I'm an orange moon
I'm brighter than before, brighter
Uh mh, uh mhhm
Reflecting the light of the sun
Ooh
Smile at me

    General Comment

Being able to see and appreciate the true beauty of another soul (especially those that others are blind to) makes you, yourself, even more beautiful. When these kinds of people combine, it's a recipe for true, deep love.

    Song Meaning

Orange Moon” is a song written by Eyrkah Badu, a world renowned Neo-Soul artist. This song is about parent-hood and how good it is to be loved by your new born child. This enchanted melancholy melodic song is chop- full of metaphors representing the natural and authentic connection that a new born baby has with their mother. The main focal point and message in this song is that she is the “Orange Moon” and her son “Seven” is the Sun and the reason why she is orange is because she reflects light of the Sun. She also says that she’s a “Orange Moon” she brighter than before meaning she wasn’t as bright before she had seven, and whenever he smiles at her se becomes more orange. Orange is a metaphor for the energy she receives from her son Seven.

Techno Ted
Audioslave
Techno Ted may be a person who caused Chris incredible emotional pain & trepidation as well as moments of peace & happiness but now is removed and awaiting his fate. Darling may be a different person who is also free of him and can live her life free of Ted's tyranny. "In between all the laughing, and daydreams ... lies: a desert of truth" Lies are like a desert or the omission of Truth: Where there were Lies then Truth was absent. The song, "Techno Ted", may be a cathartic celebration of the downfall of this person.

Son Şansın - Şarkı Sözleri
Hayalperest
This song seemingly tackles the methods of deception those who manipulate others use to get victims to follow their demands, as well as diverting attention away from important issues. They'll also use it as a means to convince people to hate or kill others by pretending acts of terrorism were committed by the enemy when the acts themselves were done by the masters of control to promote discrimination and hate. It also reinforces the idea that these manipulative forces operate in various locations, infiltrating everyday life without detection, and propagate any and everywhere. In general, it highlights the danger of hidden agendas, manipulation, and distraction, serving as a critique of those who exploit chaos and confusion to control and gain power, depicting a cautionary tale against falling into their traps. It encourages us to question the narratives presented to us and remain vigilant against manipulation in various parts of society.

Cajun Girl
Little Feat
Overall about difficult moments of disappointment and vulnerability. Having hope and longing, while remaining optimistic for the future. Encourages the belief that with each new morning there is a chance for things to improve. The chorus offers a glimmer of optimism and a chance at a resolution and redemption in the future. Captures the rollercoaster of emotions of feeling lost while loving someone who is not there for you, feeling let down and abandoned while waiting for a lover. Lost with no direction, "Now I'm up in the air with the rain in my hair, Nowhere to go, I can go anywhere" The bridge shows signs of longing and a plea for companionship. The Lyrics express a desire for authentic connection and the importance of Loving someone just as they are. "Just in passing, I'm not asking. That you be anyone but you”
