I remember wasting time
Watching as the planes fly by
I remember hearing the engines echoing through the sky

And they used to say
That someday you'll forget it
You won't hear them
And they used to say
That time goes by
That nothing changes

[Chorus]
I won't miss my flight again
I'm not where I belong
So give me just one chance
And one by one I'll prove you wrong
One by one I'll prove you wrong

I remember every night
Sitting by the runway side
I remember waiting for a reason to say goodbye

And they used to say
That someday you'll forget it
You won't hear them
And they used to say
The day goes by but you can't change it

[Chorus]

Sometimes I think I've been wrong
But this is the place that I think I belong
And every time I speak my mind I'm leaving you behind

And I won't miss my flight again
I'm not where I belong
So give me just one chance
And one by one I'll prove you wrong

I won't miss my flight again
I'm not where I belong
So give me just one chance
And one by one I'll prove you wrong
One by one I'll prove you wrong
One by one I'll prove you wrong
One by one I'll prove you wrong

General Comment:ok, who ever wrote that *points up* first of all u wrote emu! if you're gonna insult people atleast spell things right, it's emo loser. secondly simple plan freaking rocks and lastly. if you've got nothing better to do then find sites with sp fan's and bag em out then you have to get a life. f**king retard. anyway i love this song. i reakon it's about wanting to follow music as a career and there parents telling them ot forget about it. but i might be totally wrong.

General Comment:I'm pretty clear that this song is about not losing your childhood dreams (the part about "and they used to say that someday you'll forget it, you won't hear them": Not hearing things you used to is growing up and losing your dreams), and taking the opportunity (apparently once missed) to go and realize those dreams. In SP's case, it is probably about having a musical career rather than a humdrum existence, against the wishes of parents and other authority figures.
