when the bit pulls tight the grip is sewn into the reins
can't breathe it out you'll just breathe it back again
you mental-pack your chambers full for no reason
you can name a boil-in-bag blook supply you know
it's murder on the veins don't you feel it now? viva viva viva
threatening
hey - we want our violence doubled (no but really in a loving way)
hey - we want our violence doubled (no but really want it right away)
the national temper you know it's written on your face etched and scrathed and mirrored
back don't you know it's all the rage dont' you feel it now?

General Comment:I kind of thought this was a junkie song ("murder on the veins") which is ironic considering the straight edge ties of the band, but not really since the song doesn't really come across as pro drug

General Comment:I also love this song (my favorite off the whole album), and I'm also convinced it relates to how violent American culture is. The most apparent line for me is "Hey, we want our violence doubled (No, but really in a loving way.)"

General Comment:One of my favorites on the album as well. Did you ever notice that "we want our violence doubled" sounds a bit like "we want our violent stubble"?
