    My Interpretation:This song is from the album: "Paris Kills" It is based on the 1986 French film "Betty Blue". Interesting movie...
    The story is told from her lover's point of view. They are soul mates, destined to be together. Their passion for eachother is an escape for both of them. In the end... reality is too much for Betty. She doesn't want to see... Her mind is gone. He can't bear losing her, or seeing what she has become. I won't spoil the ending... but the film is worth a look. This song captures the mood beautifully... and the words... describe a fantasy.

    General Comment:Very interesting Durang0, your info brings a whole new dimension to this song for me. I think The 69 Eyes are one of the most under-rated bands in the world. Jussi 69 is my favourite drummer by far. Congrats to Archzie for running the band so smoothly. Brilliant band

    General Comment:Just as a note, this movie is also referenced in Cradle of Filth's Libertina Grimm... Never seen the movie, but the song kicks ass. What was the point of the crappy music video? Synchronized ice skating?

    General Comment:The movie is about a man who gets to know this sexy chick (Beatrice Dalle - very hot at that time). And even though they dont know each other very well and the girl with her impulsivness seems kinda whacked, they get along fine between the sheets. So they are the "beautiful strangers" obviously. The plot goes on with the male protagonist quitting his job ("im gonna run away with you.."). Towards the end of the movie the chick goes insane and the chill & sexy mood of the movie changes into sorrow which might explain the mood of the song.
    All in all while the movie isnt that "goth" (thank god) it does fit into that cheesy ideal some way.
