Beauty queen of only eighteen she
Had some trouble with herself
He was always there to help her, she
Always belonged to someone else

I drove for miles and miles and wound up
At your door
I've had you so many times but somehow I want more

I don't mind spendin' everyday
Out on your corner in the pourin' rain
Look for the girl with the broken smile
Ask her if she wants to stay awhile
And she will be loved, and she will be loved

Tap on my window, knock on my door, I
Want to make you feel beautiful
I know I tend to get so insecure
It doesn't matter anymore

It's not always rainbows and butterflies
It's compromise that moves us along yeah
My heart is full, and my door's always open
You can come anytime you want yeah

I don't mind spendin' everyday
Out on your corner in the pourin' rain
Look for the girl with the broken smile
Ask her if she wants to stay awhile
And she will be loved, and she will be loved
And she will be loved, and she will be loved

I know where you hide alone in your car
Know all of the things that make you who you are
I know that goodbye means nothing at all
Comes back and makes me catch her every time she
Falls

Yeah, tap on my window, knock on my door, I
Want to make you feel beautiful

I don't mind spendin' everyday
Out on your corner in the pourin' rain oh
Look for the girl with the broken smile
Ask her if she wants to stay awhile
And she will be loved, and she will be loved
And she will be loved, and she will be loved

Please don't try so hard to say good-bye
I don't mind spendin' everyday, out on your corner in the pourin' rain
Please don't try so hard to say good-bye

General Comment:I think this song is about a Girl who dumped her boyfriend for whatever reason. The boy loves her so much and will try anything to get back together with her... This song is exactly what has happened to me... And I still love her a lot and there no matter what I try she doesn't want to get back together :'( Flag Ianb437on May 08, 2013   Link

My Interpretation:MY INTERPRETATION: A boy falls in love with a girl that is getting phy and emo and abused by her husband. The boy falls with this woman rather than hes current girlfriend and is there for her everytime she needs someone. The woman is very insecure with herself and needs attention but wants Love and the leader singer is giving her it. Though at the end his girlfriend sees them and is heartbroke but they realize they need each other

this song represents how how you absolutely CAN LOVE someone unconditionally through all of lifes shit and all things that come your way as an individual and a couple in a relationship. I think people can get encouragement through these lyrics and realize that love can last a lifetime and be a "happily ever after if you realize its ups & downs

General Comment:This song is about the kind of guy who rescues the girl. She's very insecure but he is just the same. He's had many women like that before, they love him and they eventually leave him for someone else or vice- versa. Instead of finding love first from within, they try to find it in someone else and this always eventually leads to a breakup. They never find true love. He's too insecure to be single and confident so he's the kind of guy who catches them every time they fall or break up. Just like her, she eventually leaves the guy she's with to get with the first guy that comes along. And, that type of guy is the one who waits for her to fall. In my opinion, it's about both sexes who get into revolving door relationships.

My Interpretation:This song describes a girl who is troubled and broken. She does not see herself as beautiful so she needs someone else to make her feel beautiful.
She uses sex to feel loved and to feel beautiful. The guy she turns to does love her. But it's not enough. She leaves. He waits. She returns. The pattern repeats.

General Comment:This is about a guy who has a best friend who is always someone else's girlfriend. He knows everything about her and she runs to him every time one of her relationships goes bad. He keeps saving her because he secretly loves her. He'll do anything for her even though she hurts him by leading him on. He's waiting for her to realize what a mistake she is making with all the other guys.

The video is more of a story about a man who is dating the daughter of a rich man. The rich man is married to a younger woman played by Kelly Preston. The characters played by Preston and lead singer Adam Levine and are having a secret affair.

The album is named after Adam Levine's ex-girlfriend. He asked her permission to use the name.

The album was produced by Faith No More's Matt Wallace.

According to Teenmusic.com, Levine's girlfriend at the time, Kelly, was furious with Adam's love scenes with Preston, who was his favorite actress. "He said, "Kelly Preston is a woman I would love to make out with in real life. My girlfriend was less than happy when I did the shoot."

In 2011, Maroon 5 partnered with Snapple and launched a new flavor of the beverage called Tea Will Be Loved in support of the hunger-relief organization Feeding America.

General Comment:My opinion is that it is about a guy whose best friend is a girl in a relationship with some other guy. He loves her so much (as you do with a best friend) and when she fights with her boyfriend he wants to protect and keep her happy,

'Tap on my window, knock on my door
I want to make you feel beautiful'
    and
'You can come anytime you want'

It's basically about how protective you feel over your best friend and how much love them and don't want to see them sad. I love this song, still think it's one of Maroon 5's best songs. It's so sweet! And as a huge fan of maroon 5, I couldn't say a bad word about this song :')

General Comment:to me this song is about a guy being in love with his best girl friend. he sees that she is beautiful and that he has always had her in his life as his friend but somehow he wants her as more than just that. he sees that she is being hurt in some current relationship that she is in and that he knows everything about her and how she hides alone and cries, but he doesnt mind waiting for her no matter how long it takes he will make her feel as beautiful as he thinks she is.
long story short its about a boy who sees his best girl friend go thru heartbreaks and he wants to be the one to show her that she is truely loved
